As a dedicated Fortnite player with countless hours logged into the game, I can hardly contain my excitement for this latest Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration! The Cursed Sails event has been a long-awaited addition to my virtual seafaring adventures, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that it’s finally here.
Exciting news for Fortnite fans! The long-awaited Pirates of the Caribbean crossover in Fortnite has begun unexpectedly earlier. Today, players will download the v30.20 update which unveils the Cursed Sails event content. This special event will last until August 6, 2024, and here’s a sneak peek into its features: the Cursed Sails Pass, intriguing Quests, and fresh in-game items.

Cursed Sails Quests and Event Pass
Players of Fortnite stand a chance to receive the Cursed Sails Missions, which they need to finish in order to secure rewards from the Cursed Sails Battle Pass. Finishing these Cursed Sails Missions will result in the acquisition of Cursed Gold. The missions are split into eight sections and will be released on alternate days starting now and lasting until August 2. By employing the accrued Cursed Gold, players can advance through the tiers of the Cursed Sails Battle Pass.
Buy the Cursed Sails Pass for 1,000 V-Bucks as a shortcut to obtaining the Jack Sparrow costume in Fortnite, along with a LEGO variant. Extra perks include the acquisition of Jack’s Cutlass and Bane Pickaxe, Skull and Crossed Swords Back Bling, Jack’s Prize Back Bling, Jar of Dirt Emote, and seven additional rewards. Completing all eight sections of the Cursed Sails Mission grants access to Jack’s Ship Glider.
New Weapons and Unvaults
During the Cursed Sails event in Fortnite, players will notice some adjustments on the island. A legendary weapon called “Ship in a Bottle” has appeared near Shipwreck Shallows’ pirate vessel. By opening this bottle, players can summon a haunted ship that smashes through adversaries, structures, and surroundings. Furthermore, Pirate Cannons, Flint Knock Pistols, and other riches have been taken out of the vault and can be discovered scattered throughout the Battle Royale map.
Pirates of the Caribbean Hit the Item Shop
On Fortnite Island, Elizabeth Swann, Captain Barbossa, and Jack Sparrow have joined the fray, each with their own distinct bundles up for grabs in the Item Shop. The Elizabeth Swann Bundle offers her skin, Dead Man’s Chest Back Bling, and Elizabeth’s Favor Pickaxe. Captain Barbossa’s Bundle includes his outfit and Barbossa’s Sword Pickaxe. Lastly, the Davy Jones Bundle comprises his skin, Lil Kraken Back Bling, and Norrington’s Sacrifice Pickaxe. For those wanting a taste of pirate life from all three, there’s also the Pirates of the Caribbean Bundle, featuring items from each individual pack plus an additional Davy’s Pipe Organ Emote.
