As a lifelong Fortnite and Messi fan, I’m absolutely thrilled about this collaboration! Growing up, I would dream of seeing my football idol in a video game, let alone one as popular as Fortnite. Now, not only can I see him, but I can also play as him! It’s like merging two passions into one incredible experience.
Fortnite has officially announced that their Messi collaboration skins will be released tonight.
Fortnite has unveiled a new teaser called ‘Live the Legend’, hinting at the upcoming release of soccer star Messi and lion-themed outfits, set for tonight on December 13th. The unique aspect is that Messi appears to morph into a lion using an emote based on his famous goal celebration.
In Fortnite, players can find two different skins inspired by soccer star Lionel Messi: Streetwear Spark Messi, showcasing him wearing a hoodie and jeans, and simply named Lionel Messi, depicting the World Cup winner in his soccer uniform. Moreover, there are also two lion-themed alternative costumes available, one in golden color and another in white.

It’s fantastic to see myself depicted in Fortnite! As a child, I would have never thought something like this was possible. Football has always symbolized happiness and connection for me, and now fans can experience those feelings through my character within the game. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do!
