10 Studios, the developer behind Forza Motorsport, has rolled out a fresh update filled with excitement. This time around, it includes new featured vehicles in the Showroom, enhanced Challenge Hub rewards, events, and overall game enhancements to mark Velocity Month. The 18th update for Forza Motorsport is now live on Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms, while the Spotlight cars and new in-game events will kick off from March 12.

In simpler terms, “Forza Motorsport” is the latest version in the “Forza” series, essentially a re-start for this sub-series. Although it comes with fresh elements and improvements, it’s not quite living up to fan expectations, as evidenced by its “Mixed” rating on Steam. However, the developers are making efforts to improve the game by regularly releasing content updates full of new features for players. Now, Turn 10 Studios has another update planned for them.

In honor of Velocity Month, Update 18 from Turn 10 has been launched for Forza Motorsport, bringing in a host of fresh features. Among these updates are new highlight vehicles that are either making their entry or returning to the game. These include the 2024 Lamborghini SC63, 2020 Oreca #38 Performance Tech Motorsports Oreca 07, 2014 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon, and additional options, all of which can be found in the Showroom. Players also have an opportunity to acquire the 2021 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 and the 2018 Lotus Evora GT430 by completing objectives within the Challenge Hub during Velocity Month. Additionally, new outfits such as the Good Luck Suit and Cosmic Suit are available during this month, with both items accessible via the Challenge Hub.

Starting March 12, both new Spotlight cars and fresh in-game events will be available. However, there are several enhancements that have come with update 18 for players to relish even before that date. To ensure more players join multiplayer matches, Turn 10 has made modifications to the matchmaking service of Forza Motorsport. Additionally, adjustments have been made to HDR displays due to some users experiencing their HDR Brightness value being set automatically, resulting in a less vibrant image appearance.

18th Update extends the time duration of brief races from 8 minutes to 10 minutes within the Featured Multiplayer mode, and introduces the lap counter for Timed Races, encompassing Practice and Multi-Class Races. Additionally, a bug that led to incorrect player list arrangement in Multi-Class events following car group switches has been rectified within Featured Multiplayer.

Similar to past updates for the “Forza Motorsport” series, this latest update focuses on resolving various problems reported by gamers, including game crashes during car purchases or upgrades. It also enhances stability for players who resume the game after a suspension. Furthermore, numerous fixes have been made across all platforms regarding gameplay, tracks, and user interface. The Velocity Month for “Forza Motorsport” offers an abundance of fresh content and activities for players to enjoy.

• Fixed a game crash when purchasing a car returns an error from the server. [1921064]
• Fixed a game crash that could occur when upgrading your car due to memory issues. [1937666]
• Improved stability when resuming the title from a suspended state [1983641]

Audio [All Platforms]

• Update 18 features the car audio updates for the 1998 Toyota Supra RZ [1654763] and 2020 Toyota GR Supra [1786443]. These fixes were originally intended to be released with Update 17, however due to an oversight, they were not included in the previous update. Both cars have received their improved sounds with Update 18.
• Update 18 also introduces updated car audio for the 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia based on community feedback. [1729130]

Rendering [All Platforms]

• For some HDR displays, the game would automatically configure its HDR Brightness value below 1,000 nits which made the highlights in the image look flat and clamped. The fix prevents the game from automatically configuring the value below 1,000 even if the display metadata reports that its peak luminance is under 1,000. [1896256]

Gameplay [All Platforms]

• 1998 Nissan R390 has been moved from the Exotic GT Classic Division to the Early Factory Racecar Division based on community feedback. [1937670]
• Fixed an issue where players could temporarily be sorted incorrectly in the pre-race menu player list in a Multi-Class Race event after changing classes. [1794707]
• Fixed throttle and lap time offsets after using Rewind. [1963547]
• Fixed an issue where certain cars experienced a delay when shifting from first to second gear during a standing start. [1621855]

• Increased the race duration of ‘Short’ length races from 8 minutes to 10 minutes.
• Updated Event schedule timing for ‘Short’ and ‘Medium’ length races to slightly increase amount of time between races based on player feedback. [1912216]
