In the game “Foundation“, it’s essential to manage numerous aspects and craft various items through making, growing, or mining. As your settlement expands, having one of the many desirable resources, namely sheep, will be beneficial for you. These adorable creatures provide an important resource, wool, which can later be used for making cloth.
As a gamer, I found myself puzzled about how to acquire those valuable sheep in Foundation. If you’re scratching your head too, let me share with you a comprehensive guide on everything there is to know about shepherding these wool-rich creatures!
How to Build a Sheep Farm
To open a sheep farm in your city-building simulation, you’ll require a total of 10 Prosperity points and 50 coins. You can find the sheep farm along with other items essential for creating clothing within the Progression menu, specifically on the left side under Common Path. It will be represented by an icon that looks like a small shirt with some fabric wrapped around it.
Once you’ve completed the transaction within this enchanting independent game, you’ll gain entry to three novel structures: a Sheep Farm, a Weaver’s Hut, and a Tailor’s Workshop.
Building | Function | Build Costs |
---|---|---|
Sheep Farm | Produces Wool | 2 Tools, 10 Wood, 10 Stone, 25 Coins |
Weaver’s Hut | Turns 3 Wool into 1 Cloth. | 6 Tools, 15 Stone, 20 Planks, 50 Coins |
Tailor’s Workshop | Turns 1 Cloth into 2 Common Clothes | 8 Tools, 15 Stone, 20 Planks, 50 Coins |
How to Get Sheep and Wool
In this intricate simulation game, after gaining access to Progression and setting up your farm, it’s now time for me to establish my very own sheep farm! Firstly, position the farm with a bit of room on all sides. Once constructed, designate one or two villagers to tend to the farm. Then, click the “Paint Pasture” button to outline the pasture for my fluffy friends. As I sketch, the Paint Pasture brush will indicate whether the area is too small, appropriate, or too large. For optimal results, aim for an “appropriate” sized field. It’s essential to remember that with sheep, you don’t need to fill up the entire space to reap the maximum benefits. Instead, stop once it reaches the “appropriate” size and let the magic of farming unfold!
In this charming indie game, setting up a pasture at a particular spot will change the hue of the grass in the chosen location. A symbol labeled “No Mature Livestock” will float above the building, indicating that no sheep have reached maturity for shearing yet. This predicament can only be resolved by waiting patiently. The sheep will appear as you create the pasture, starting off as newborn lambs. It typically takes around 3 to 4 game weeks for them to grow old enough to start producing wool.
How to Turn Wool into Cloth into Common Clothes
In this engaging indie game, transforming wool into fabric involves constructing a Weaver’s Hut and designating one or two villagers for the task. For efficient storage, build a Storage Facility and allocate spaces for wool, cloth, and clothing items. Once completed, your villagers will autonomously start weaving wool into cloth. To further advance, establish a Tailor’s Workshop, assign a few more villagers, and they’ll commence producing Common Clothing within the vibrant, colorful workshop.
How to Sell Common Clothes
To offer Common Clothes to your villagers, first, access the “Goods Market” from the Progression menu, it’s located next to ‘Clothing’. Afterward, open the build menu and choose the “Village Market”. Inside this market, opt for the white “Goods Stall” and position it as desired. You can then enhance it with decorative elements such as an awning before clicking the build button. If you forget to add decorations initially but wish to do so later, simply select the Goods Stall, then press the ‘Edit Building’ option that appears in the small menu.
How to Spawn a Black Sheep Achievement
The game Foundation boasts a secret success hidden within Steam: it occasionally generates a black sheep. Approximately 2% of the times a sheep is spawned results in a black one. To increase your herd, you’ll need to expand your existing farms or create new ones. If you choose to remove your sheep and restart the process, they will reappear as before. With patience and persistent farm expansion, eventually you’ll welcome one of these adorable black sheep onto your virtual pasture.
