Throughout the game Donkey Kong Bananza, many layers present recurring tasks and characters, such as Quiztone’s quizzes, Seekertone’s hide-and-seek mini-games, and Fragmentone’s rescue missions. In the Resort layer specifically, Fragmentone has misplaced three of its parts once more, and it falls upon DK and Pauline to locate them and mend Fragmentone back to its original state.
Similar to previous iterations of the Fragmentone mission, all three pieces are located in close proximity. However, for one of these fragments, you’ll want to make use of the recently introduced rainbow rock feature to gain access. This guide will walk you through discovering Fragmentone in the Resort Layer and collecting all three Fragmentone fragments to receive Banandium Gems.
Where Is Fragmentone in the Resort Layer?
Resort Layer Fragmentone Location In Donkey Kong Bananza
Starting at the initial position within the Resort level of Donkey Kong Bananza, players should direct their attention towards the right side, where a considerable landmass can be found near the enormous watermelon situated centrally in the map. This sizable landmass houses the primary village for the Resort layer and features a hill adorned with three gigantic strawberries.
Ascend to the peak of the hill, and you’ll spot Fragmentone suspended within a vast, black metal hoop among the trio of strawberries. Initiate the Fragmentone fragments quest for the Resort layer by conversing with Fragmentone.
As you steer DK, the fragments move at a deliberate pace behind him, and they’ll change their position if he strays too far. To slow down DK slightly and ensure the fragments can catch up, gently nudge the left analog stick forward at an angle. This will guide them back to Fragmentone smoothly.

Where To Find All Three Fragmentone Fragments In The Resort Layer

As a gamer, I’ve discovered that all three pieces of the elusive Resort Fragmentone are within close reach. Two of them are hidden inside the colossal strawberry patches nearby, while the third is perched atop the drifting island south of the hill.
The strawberry pulp can be easily accessed by simply digging through it, or you could punch straight into it from above, which would destroy everything around it quickly. However, reaching the fragment on the floating island requires more effort – not only is it difficult to obtain, but returning it to Fragmentone after finding it presents its own challenges.
Fragmentone Fragment #1: Inside A Large Strawberry

The initial piece of Fragmentone is hidden under the big strawberry that’s directly across from it. On the seaward side of the hill, perform a Dive Punch on top of the large strawberry to instantly obliterate it and uncover a mound of Rainbow Rock (which enables Donkey Kong to float when picked up).
After the berry has been demolished, show the initial piece. Make the object move behind you by walking over it, and then lead it back to Fragmentone to acquire the first Banandium Gem. To obtain the second Banandium Gem, you need to discover all three fragments.
This version aims to maintain the original meaning while using simpler language and a more conversational tone.
Fragmentone Fragment #2: In A Cave Beneath The Buried Strawberry

The next piece is hidden below the partially covered strawberry on the northern slope of the hill. Dig into the strawberry using Dive Punch to obliterate it, which will uncover a hidden cave underneath. Traverse through the cave for a short while to determine the location of the second fragment. To retrieve the barrel nearby and return to the surface, use it as a step. Afterward, deliver the barrel (now containing Fragmentone) to your original position.
Fragmentone Fragment #3: On A Floating Island Above The Ridge
Reaching the final Fragmentone fragment position proves a tad more challenging compared to the initial two. To find it, gaze towards the south from the hill’s peak; you’ll spot a vast, floating island hovering over the rugged cliff and sandy shoreline.
To reach this location, hit one of the colorful stone foes towards the hill. Doing so will generate a rainbow trail leading the way, making it possible for Donkey Kong to approach the hovering island more easily.
As you approach the hill, gather a piece of the colorful geode found on the trail, then lean forward and rise gently to access the floating island above. Hold onto the piece here, but refrain from leaping down; the distance is too great for the fragment to follow DK naturally, so you’ll need an alternative method instead.
When you excavate under a piece of debris, it won’t disintegrate, allowing you to tunnel through the ground beneath it without fear of moving it back to its original spot. Keep digging downwards until you reach the base of the floating island; this action should cause the debris to fall to the level below.
Lastly, gradually lead it towards Fragmentone on the opposite hillside and gather your well-deserved Banandium Gem number two!
