Each month, Sony offers free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers across all plans (Essential, Extra, and Premium). These games can be claimed and kept as long as the subscription remains active. The PlayStation Plus games available in December 2024 were It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem. These games could be added to your library until Monday, January 6, 2025. On New Year’s Day, Sony announced the lineup of PlayStation Plus games for January 2025, which became available on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
For January 2025, PlayStation Plus members will receive three free games: “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League”, “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered”, and “The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe”. You can claim these titles until February 3, Monday. Among these, “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” takes up the largest storage space on PS5 at 79.43 GB. Launched in February 2024, it’s also the most recent game out of the three. Despite receiving mixed reviews initially, many PlayStation Plus subscribers might get their first taste of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” this month.
PlayStation Plus Games For January 2025 Are Now Available Until February 3
- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s file size is 79.43 GB on PS5
- Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered’s file size is 31.55 GB on PS4
- The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe’s file size is 5.10 GB on PS4 and 5.77 GB on PS5.
Among the trio of games, only “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered” on PlayStation 4 doesn’t have a native PlayStation 5 version or an upgrade, and it occupies approximately 31.55 GB storage space for your enjoyment of this well-loved racing game. It’s important to mention that “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered” doesn’t utilize the advanced capabilities of the PlayStation 5, but can still be played smoothly due to backwards compatibility.
Among the offerings, only “The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe” boasts native versions for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It’s a reimagined, extended version of the 2013 game, offering enhancements like improved accessibility features and content warnings. Surprisingly, both versions occupy minimal storage space – only 5.10 GB on PS4 and 5.77 GB on PS5.
To add all three upcoming games on PlayStation Plus to your library, it’s essential that you have a minimum of 117 GB of available storage space on your PS5. Throughout the year, you can expect an influx of new games in both the Extra and Premium tiers being added to the service.
