PlayStation Plus members—no matter which plan they have—can now download October 2025’s free games. The release was a little later this month because the first Tuesday of October didn’t arrive until the 7th.
PlayStation Plus usually announces its free monthly games on the Wednesday before the first Tuesday of the next month. But this time, Sony surprised everyone by revealing the October 2025 free games a week early during its recent State of Play event. This gives PlayStation Plus members more time than usual to find out what games they’ll be getting for free.
The free PlayStation Plus games for October 2025 are now available to claim! Subscribers can add *Alan Wake 2*, a highly-rated horror game, along with the puzzle game *Cocoon* and the funny, chaotic *Goat Simulator 3* to their digital libraries. Make sure to claim these games by November 3rd. Remember, as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription, these games will be available to play.

With the free PlayStation Plus games for October 2025 now available, PlayStation Plus subscribers are also anticipating the new games coming to the Extra and Premium tiers. The official list of games for these tiers is expected to be revealed next Wednesday, October 15th, and will be added on Tuesday, October 21st. According to a trusted source, the *Silent Hill 2* remake will be included in the Extra tier, which would be a great addition for the Halloween season and complement *Alan Wake 2*, already available on the Essential tier.
Sony has announced that classic games *Tekken 3* and *Soulcalibur 3* will be added to PS Plus Premium sometime this year. While the exact release date isn’t known, they’re expected to arrive before the end of December. Sony should share more details about when players can access these games soon.
