To fully upgrade your Utility Station to Level 3 in Arc Raiders, you’ll need three Fried Motherboards. While the game sometimes gives them to you freely, you’ll need to explore specific locations to find them. This guide details where to find Fried Motherboards and all the places they can drop in Arc Raiders.
Where to Find Fried Motherboard in Arc Raiders
The Fried Motherboard costs 2,000 coins and can be broken down into five Plastic Parts and two Electrical Components. You can find it in technological areas that are scattered throughout all the maps. Look for either metal boxes you can break open or electrical panels – the Fried Motherboards needed for the station upgrade will be inside.
Even though these items are usually found in technological areas, you can actually find them anywhere there’s an electrical panel, like at the Power Generation Complex in Dam Battlegrounds. The Spaceport map is the best place to farm them, as it’s entirely a tech-focused location, making it easy to collect a lot.
Power Rods can be found within the electrical panels inside the Power Generation Complex. The lockers in this area contain valuable loot, particularly when the map is set to Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storms, or Cold Snap – it’s worth checking them all out.
Start a match with basic gear. If you begin near one of the tech buildings, check for lootable boards inside. However, if you spawn late in the round or far from these buildings, they’ve likely already been searched, and it’s best to end that attempt and start a new one. Hopefully, your next run will give you a better starting location and weapon to fight the ARCs.
