FromSoft master modder brings their seamless co-op mod to Dark Souls Remastered, easing the wait for Elden Ring Nightreign and The Duskbloods

There are yet another month and Elden Ring Nightreign, followed by a year until The Duskbloods releases. However, you can fill the gap with a classic game from FromSoft, nearly ready for up to five-players co-op action.

Exceptional modder Yui has been dedicated to integrating smooth cooperative mods within Elden Ring’s primary game, Armored Core 6, Dark Souls 3, and Sekiro. These mods allowed players to share the thrill of their victories, even the gloomy ones, and endure the tough battles side by side with a friend. Now, they have shifted their multiplayer expertise towards Dark Souls Remastered.

In simpler terms, the Seamless Co-Op mod lets you and your friends play together throughout the entire game without any limitations. Unlike the original game, you could potentially finish the game from tutorial to final boss in a single co-op session, meaning that if one player dies or defeats an enemy boss, they won’t be kicked out of the game.

In the video below, Yui demonstrates how the mod operates, and indeed, this is cooperative gameplay for Dark Souls. However, keep in mind that the modder has labeled it as an early release, so there may be unforeseen glitches or issues you might encounter while using it.

It appears we’re both looking forward to enjoying the thrilling soulslike events together, whether it’s until May 30th when Elden Ring Nightreign offers a multiplayer experience in the Lands Between. Additionally, renowned FromSoft director Hidetaka Miyazaki is developing The Duskbloods, an exciting PvPvE game with eight-player matches, slated for release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 in the coming year.
