Funko Fusion Has the Perfect Pathway for DLC

Funko Fusion Has the Perfect Pathway for DLC

As a long-time fan of pop culture and video games, I can confidently say that Funko Fusion has already captured my heart with its unique blend of iconic characters from various franchises. However, as someone who’s been through countless hours of gaming, I can’t help but feel that there’s more to this game than what meets the eye.

Even though the new game, Funko Fusion, has just hit the shelves, some enthusiastic players are already speculating about what might follow. At this point, there’s no information available regarding its future. However, considering statements from the developers and the presence of DLC in the game, it’s possible that a wealth of content could be on the way. It remains to be seen what shape that content will take, but given the potential for post-launch updates, Funko Fusion might already have an exciting future planned out for it.

Via Funko Fusion, gamers have ventured into various worlds and taken control of legendary characters from more than 20 distinct franchises. This has been a delight for pop culture enthusiasts, particularly those yearning for games based on these intellectual properties. Yet, even though it’s exciting to witness these universes in motion, many of the IPs still hold countless untold stories and characters ripe for exploration. Post-launch DLC by 10:10 Games could realize this potential.

Funko Fusion Has So Much DLC Potential Just Waiting to be Tapped

Funko Fusion Has Left Gaps In Some of Its Franchises’ Rosters

As I dive into the diverse realms of Funko Fusion for the first time, I can’t help but notice a few holes in the lineup of some franchises that are dear to me. While the main characters from the game’s most popular IPs are all accounted for, it seems like the extra ones have been left with just a handful of their characters. For instance, The Walking Dead fans like myself are limited to playing as Rick or Michonne, and Sven is practically the only Voltron character here. Universal Monsters seem to be underrepresented too, with only Frankenstein making an appearance, and Five Nights at Freddy’s feels almost non-existent. Despite not being the game’s main attractions, I believe these franchises still hold a wealth of potential for Funko Fusion.

It’s not just those IPs (Internet Protocols) that are missing some characters from their lineups; even the big-name franchises have a few characters yet to become Funko figurines. Therefore, the DLC for Funko Fusion should focus on providing more of these beloved franchise characters that were overlooked at launch. This would not only enrich the roster with fresh additions but also make it simpler to introduce new characters into the game without needing to incorporate entirely new intellectual properties.

Funko Fusion Could Also Get Dozens of New Levels and IPs

Introducing fresh IPs could certainly be an option worth considering. With Funko Fusion boasting over 20 distinct franchises for players to immerse themselves in, expanding the roster remains a possibility. Similar to how LEGO Dimensions incorporated new narratives through its level packs, 10:10 Games could follow suit by introducing additional stories here. Perhaps Eddy’s antics lead to chaos within a Dreamworks film like Shrek, or maybe Mega Man requires the assistance of other video game heroes like Sonic. Alternatively, it might be that franchises such as Hellboy or E.T could benefit from some extra backing.

So long as these characters and stages provide a couple more hours of enjoyment, they’d make excellent downloadable content (DLC). These additional levels might be entirely new areas within the Factory, or they might just include some extra appearances from familiar faces. No matter their form, offering players more franchises to explore could elevate Funko Fusion to greater heights.

Currently, the only downloadable content (DLC) available for Funko Fusion on PC is The Walking Dead pack and the Team Fortress 2 pack. It’s likely that there are additional DLC packs in development, with character packs being a strong possibility as part of their post-launch plan. Here’s hoping these new additions will enhance the gameplay. With Funko’s vast array of franchises, it seems like the content could go on indefinitely.
