As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest update for Funko Fusion has truly caught my attention. The introduction of cooperative play and the addition of new characters like Trap Jaw and the Invincible Pack are game-changers!

The creators of the action-adventure game, Funko Fusion, have introduced an online cooperative mode on Steam for computer gamers to engage in battles together simultaneously. Although console users of Funko Fusion currently lack this online co-op feature, it is expected to be rolled out imminently.

In September 2024, Funko Fusion was introduced, merging over 20 diverse pop culture franchises, including blockbuster films such as Shaun of the Dead and The Mummy, along with fast-food chain KFC. At present, there are approximately 80 unique characters in Funko Fusion, all displayed as lively Funko Pop! vinyl figures.

Starting November 21, 2024, Steam users gained access to the new online cooperative mode of the game, and 10:10 Games plans to introduce this feature on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S by next week. In this multiplayer mode, up to four players can collaborate and tackle three out of seven primary worlds in Funko Fusion, namely Jurassic World, Hot Fuzz, and Battlestar Galactica. The developers are currently working to ensure that all Core and Cameo worlds will be playable in cooperative mode soon. This co-op feature is being added to the game as a complimentary update for all supported platforms.

Apart from introducing online cooperative play to the game, Funko Fusion has also unveiled a new DLC expansion, introducing two fresh characters hailing from Amazon Prime Video’s hit animated series, Invincible. At its debut, Funko Fusion had already showcased the main protagonist and villain-turned-hero duo, Invincible and Omni-Man, along with a unique stage mirroring the world of the superhero saga. The recent DLC expansion introduces two additional characters to the already expansive collection of animated Funko figurines – Atom Eve and Rex Splode. Priced at $9.99, this pack also offers an alternate costume for Atom Eve, modeled after her Season 2 alter ego from another universe, as well as Invincible’s iconic blue suit. Additionally, the pack includes a level appearance by Invincible, which was teased prior to the game’s launch.

10:10 Games introduced the latest additions to their game on November 21, including a new character, Trap Jaw from Masters of the Universe, which is available free for all existing players. Furthermore, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers who haven’t played the game yet have the opportunity to try it out for free with a two-hour trial session. Unfortunately, Funko Fusion is not playable on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 as of now, but it will be available on those platforms exactly five years from now, on December 6, 2024.

Funko Fusion November 21, 2024 Update Patch Notes

Hey everyone!

We appreciate your eagerness as you’ve been anxiously anticipating the arrival of online co-op. Words can’t express our gratitude for your understanding and patience!

The online cooperative mode has moved beyond its testing phase and is now available to every player across the game, which means we can officially announce that online co-op is accessible right now!

With the launch of co-op, players can dive into three of the core worlds from Funko Fusion!

  • Jurassic World
  • Hot Fuzz
  • Battlestar Galactica

We can’t wait to share these virtual realms with you! We’re putting in a lot of effort to make available the remaining core and guest worlds, and they will be arriving shortly!

How to start a co-op game:

Locate the multiplayer terminal in any of the floors beneath the upper level, but remember it can only be utilized if you’ve gone through the tutorial and successfully completed at least one game level. Once found, employ the terminal to initiate a multiplayer gaming room.

How to invite friends:

On Steam, you can ask your friends to join your game or even join theirs directly from your friend list. Simply hover over a friend’s name in the Steam friend list, then click on the drop-down arrow that appears to see the options “Invite to Game” or “Join Game”.

In the Multiplayer Lobby, you have the option to leverage the game’s built-in system as well. Approach any three out of the four distinctive purple Pop! Boxes and interact with them to access your Steam friends list, allowing you to invite a buddy for some multiplayer action.

Using a controller, move towards your friends’ profiles and extend invitations for the game. They will get these invites through Steam, and a notification icon will pop up to confirm the invitation has been sent.

With a mouse & keyboard: navigate to your friends and click on their names to invite them.

Exclusive Content:

In our Online Cooperative play, we’ve introduced an exclusive currency called Funkoins, which is specific to the cooperative mode in Funko Fusion.

Funkoins can be accumulated through cooperative play, either solo or with companions, and they serve as a currency to acquire fresh new attire for the ensemble of your Funko Fusion figures!

Patch Notes:

  • Included in today’s update are some additional fixes for the game.
  • Fixed Red Proto Parts not spawning correctly in some instances.
  • Fixed a rare issue where players who switch characters could get stuck inside Pop! Boxes in Jurassic World.
  • Various minor fixes to Cameo Quests.
  • Various minor fixes to Character bugs.
  • Additional smaller bug fixes and polish across Worlds and Cameo levels.

New Characters:

WIth Co-Op exiting beta, we figured it’s a good time to celebrate with some additional characters!

Available to all gamers starting today, Trap Jaw has been added to the Funko Fusion team as a playable character!

Also as part of today’s drop, a new purchasable DLC, the Invincible Pack!

Enhance your InvinciUniverse within Funko Fusion using the Invincible Bundle. Gather these characters for your game roster:

  • Atom Eve as playable character
  • Atom Eve – Alternate Eve outfit
  • Rex Splode as playable character
  • Invincible – Blue Suit outfit

The Invincble DLC Pack will be purchasable for $9.99!

We’re excited to take co-op out of its testing phase, but don’t worry, we’re not slowing down! We’re putting in extra effort to introduce more game worlds, and there are still some exciting surprises in store for you before the year ends!

Thank you!
