They argue that Sam’s lack of courage ultimately led to the death of Eddison “Dolorous Edd” Tollett, a brother of the Night’s Watch, during the Battle of Winterfell.

According to ht_is_Reality, Eddison had bravely survived numerous challenges in the past, including a horde of White Walkers, and endured mutinies, standing by Jon Snow through thick and thin. Despite his grim outlook on life, he persevered. However, during the Battle of Winterfell, Eddison was stabbed in the back by a wight while attempting to save Sam, who had fallen over.
