Games Done Quick To Hold Hurricane Helene Relief Stream

As a seasoned gamer and a dedicated supporter of gaming events that give back to the community, I am thrilled to see Games Done Quick stepping up yet again to help those in need. Having been through my fair share of power outages and home damage due to various storms over the years, I can only imagine the devastation Hurricane Helene has brought upon the southeast United States.

Games Done Quick, a long-standing video game speed running event known for its charitable contributions, has announced it will be fundraising for those impacted by Hurricane Helene in the U.S. The charity stream, called Disaster Relief Done Quick, is set to run from Friday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13.

The event will be raising money for Direct Relief, a nonprofit based out of California.

In regions hit by the storm, Direct Relief has already given aid to over 50 healthcare providers that serve vulnerable populations, and they will keep evaluating the needs of these areas while continuing to provide essential resources like emergency medical equipment, hygiene kits, and transportation services.

The severe storm has resulted in power outages for many, caused extensive property damage to houses and businesses, and unfortunately claimed more than 200 lives.

Starting October 11th through the 13th, I’ll be participating in a speed-running marathon for charity, called Disaster Relief Done Quick. The goal of this event is to provide aid to those impacted by Hurricane Helene. If you’d like to support us, you can donate directly to @DirectRelief during the event.

If you are interested in participating in a run during the event, submissions are open until October 6. The event will be streamed live on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel. All donations made during the Games Done Quick stream go directly to Direct Relief for support of Hurricane Helene victims.

TopMob extends our sympathies and heartfelt thoughts to all those affected by the hurricane in the southeastern region of the U.S.
