If you’re seeking high-quality, budget-friendly controllers suitable for both PC and consoles, GameSir should be your go-to choice. For instance, the GameSir G7 HE Iron Man Limited Edition Controller not only offers an affordable price point for a special edition controller, but it also boasts excellent construction quality as well.
If you’re not comfortable with a wired model when it comes to spending £60 on a controller, then this product might not be suitable for you. However, if you don’t mind using a device that can be easily plugged in and you’re a fan of the iconic billionaire in iron armor, this could be an excellent choice for you.
Gleaming gold and hotrod red may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the audacious colour scheme is absolutely gorgeous in the right set-up. A gold-embossed Iron Man emblazons the right palm grip, with the symbol of Tony Stark’s unique mini-reactor on the left. Though, the G7 HE isn’t all about the looks. It also features some really nice quality-of-life stuff under the hood that will make a difference to die-hard gamers.
Initially, it comes equipped with Hall Effect thumbsticks and triggers, ensuring it’s virtually stick-drift resistant. However, it lacks an omni-directional D-pad, which may deter fighting game enthusiasts. But, it offers built-in haptic feedback that you can tailor to your liking using the GameSir Nexus app, and you can even personalize additional buttons and create your own shortcuts. Additionally, a 3.5mm jack is included for audio output, complete with a built-in microphone switch.
I find the G7 HE Iron Man controller to be both weighty yet comfortable in my grip. I prefer a bit of heft in a controller, and the 227g G7 HE doesn’t feel too light or overly heavy. The buttons offer a nice, responsive click, but it’s the sticks that truly shine. The Hall Effect technology makes them incredibly smooth and almost frictionless, making fast-paced games like shooters a pleasure to play.

The G7 HE Iron Man Controller comes equipped with a 9-foot cable and holds its own against wired alternatives, despite some additional features appearing somewhat unnecessary at the moment. For instance, the faceplate is removable for potential replacement, but as of now, I haven’t found any alternative options. As an avid Iron Man fan, it’s hard for me to envision replacing the faceplate in the first place.
In the end, while its eye-catching design is undeniable, the G7 HE Iron Man controller remains an excellent gamepad. For sixty pounds, you’re not just purchasing a visually appealing accessory; you’re also getting something that feels responsive, well-crafted, durable, and dependable. Some might find the cord problematic, but if you can look past that, it’s a strong choice for PC, Switch, or Xbox gamers.
