Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen is becoming increasingly captivating, and fans are really enjoying the recent developments in the story. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is still short, with just 9 chapters released so far, but it’s already showing a lot of promise and looks to be a fantastic story.

Even fans who previously criticized Gege Akutami are now praising his work on Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. He’s done an incredible job with the story so far, and the recent introduction of Dura, a character from Simuria, has been a huge hit. Dura’s compelling backstory, filled with hope, sadness, and resilience, has really resonated with readers, and many believe Gege Akutami has created one of the best characters in the entire series. I’ve been following Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, and Dura isn’t one of the central figures – he definitely wasn’t around at the start. While he is connected to both Cross and Maru, his part in the story feels distinct from theirs. I first saw Dura in Chapter 8, during a flashback about Cross, and it quickly became clear that he was a major influence on how those two brothers turned out.

I remember hearing about Dura, a leader from the Rumelians of Simuria, who was renowned as their strongest. After they were defeated by the Deskunte and lost most of their land, things looked bleak. But while others felt hopeless, Dura envisioned a different path. They began constructing a canal, and it eventually blossomed into thriving trade routes and an irrigation system, revitalizing the Rumelians’ new home.

People saw him as a leader, almost like a king, but Dura did so much more. He encouraged the growth of both Cross and Maru communities and taught them to live peacefully with their neighbors, even though they had different cultures and religions. Dura dreamed of a life where everyone overcame their differences and lived together in harmony, without violence. Sadly, his message wasn’t heard by everyone, and he became a casualty of the conflict between the tribes.

Dura’s death was heartbreaking – he was defeated by his closest friend, Dabura, a famously powerful Deskunte. Now, Dabura is determined to fulfill Dura’s wishes. Together with the Rumelians, he’s left Simuria to find a new home where they can live peacefully alongside others.

Although Dura has died in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, his influence remains strong. He was a key figure in the development of both Maru and Cross, inspiring them with a vision for the future and impacting the main storyline. His ideals will live on through Maru, Cross, and even Dabura, ultimately working towards a better future and helping the Rumelian people find peace and the ideal community.
