This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen’s Final Arc.
Summary
- Hajime Kashimo was the biggest threat to Sukuna after Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen’s final arc.
- Kashimo’s innate cursed technique, The Mythical Beast Amber, posed a dangerous challenge to Sukuna.
- Events covered in the exhibition only go up to volume 27 of the manga, so Kashimo’s threat level may not apply to the entire story.
The epic clash between Gojo and Sukuna has left an indelible mark in Shonen manga history, standing out as one of the most exhilarating battles for some time. Recently, during a Q&A session, Gege Akutami, mastermind behind Jujutsu Kaisen, provided valuable insights into this legendary battle. He shed light on a significant detail, namely who poses the second greatest danger to Sukuna after Gojo Satoru.
Gege Reveals Who Was The Second Biggest Threat To Sukuna After Gojo
Hajime Kashimo Was The Biggest Threat
In a recent event, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen shared insights about the upcoming climax of the story, with a particular emphasis on the epic battle between Gojo and Sukuna. The author, Gege, disclosed some intriguing details, such as the fatal blow that Sukuna inflicted upon Gojo and the identity of the most significant adversary for Sukuna after Gojo has been defeated.
In comparison to typical sorcerers, both Sukuna and Gojo are in a league of their own; any other character appears insignificant when placed beside them. Nevertheless, there have been a handful of noteworthy fighters that emerged during the recent arc. Interestingly, as per Gege’s statements, the most significant adversary for Sukuna after Gojo is none other than Hajime Kashimo, the Deity of Lightning.
Turn up the volume!! Because this is a funeral for the living!! — Kashimo
Kashimo hails from a past era, similar to Sukuna. Rather than being contemporary, he’s a 400-year-old entity resurrected by Kenjaku for the Culling Game. During his original time, Kashimo was unmatched in strength. This mightiness was evident in Jujutsu Kaisen. The deadliest challenge Sukuna faced from Kashimo was a cursed technique known as The Mythical Beast Amber. Despite being the second most significant danger to Sukuna, Kashimo ultimately proved inconsequential and was quickly dispatched.
Does This Prove Kashimo Is The Third Strongest Character in This Arc?
Not Necessarily, As Others Still Did Better
One thing some fans may overlook about the Jujutsu Kaisen event and this exhibition in particular is that the questions addressed there do not encompass the whole manga. To clarify, this event concludes with volume 27 of the manga, leaving three volumes yet to be published. Therefore, although Kashimo might have been the greatest danger to Sukuna by that point, it doesn’t necessarily hold true for the entire manga.
In the subsequent events, Sukuna encounters Yuta, who assumes Gojo’s body and powers, posing a significantly greater threat to him. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning Yuji, who, as his host, managed to subdue him.
Where To Read Jujutsu Kaisen?
Available on Manga Plus
Wrapping up in late 2024, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga spanned 30 volumes, but left many readers disappointed due to a perceived rushed pace of the storyline. Despite this, the tale has now come to an end and fans can delve into every chapter on Manga Plus. Previously, it was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump during its run.
