Based on recent leaks and whispers, it seems the next version of Pokemon TCG Pocket may debut as soon as April 30th, marking the third consecutive release within a single month or less since the last one. This rapid-fire schedule might pose challenges for free-to-play gamers, as maintaining pace without some measure of luck can be tough, especially for those who joined during launch.

Rumors suggest that this upcoming set will boast three different booster pack types and more than 200 cards in total. Given these details, it’s highly probable that the Alola region, one of the less frequently represented regions from the games, won’t be the sole focus of this release.

Gen 7 is The Least Represented in Pokemon TCG Pocket

In the latest Shining Revelry expansion of the Pokemon TCG Pocket, only 12 unique cards have been introduced based on Generation 7 games. Interestingly, Salandit and Salazzle are considered duplicates since both were released in Genetic Apex and Mythical Island sets. Additionally, two Illustration Rares are exclusive to Generation 7; one for Salandit and the other for Marshadow. Why Pokemon TCG Pocket’s April 30 Set is Likely to Be Gen 3-Themed

With three different types of booster packs available, a Gen 3-themed expansion seems like the most plausible choice, featuring Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza – all Legendary Pokemon currently absent from the game. These three Pokemon, adored by fans individually, also represent an era (Gen 3) filled with beloved creatures and characters yet to make an appearance in the mobile game. It’s speculated that this massive set is not intended for Gen 7 as it seems unlikely to be its focus.
