As a long-time fan of Gen.G, I must admit that today’s loss against Sentinels has left me feeling a bit deflated. While Gen.G had shown incredible form throughout Valorant Champions 2024, it seems their run was not meant to be this year.
The renowned esports squad, Gen.G, has been removed from the Valorant Champions Tournament 2024 after suffering a significant defeat at the hands of Sentinels earlier today, specifically on August 10, 2024.
Since the start of the competition on August 1, the team had been thriving, but it appears that their winning streak has now concluded.
Gen.G Out Of Valorant Champions 2024 After Loss To Sentinels
After their defeat at the hands of Sentinels, Gen.G must now pack up and leave the tournament. In a surprising turn of events, Sentinels managed to outperform them in the subsequent matches, despite having been swept by Gen.G during their Group Stage encounters on August 1. It appears that Sentinels took the time to strategize and prepare themselves for these particular games.
Initially, on August 6, Gen.G suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Team Heretics, yet that loss did not eliminate them from the tournament. However, following today’s matches with Sentinels, Gen.G will bid farewell to this event officially.

In the matches against Gen.G, it appeared as though the Sentinels were determined to resist defeat. Just as Gen.G had previously triumphed over them, this time the tables turned and Sentinels emerged victorious in both games. In the second encounter, also held on the Icebox map, Sentinels once again proved their dominance, securing a 13-6 victory.
