Niantic has revealed that the Pokémon GO Bug Out event is coming back again, this time to introduce Generation 8 Pokémons Sizzlipede and Centiskorch from Pokémon Sword and Shield. Much like the monthly Community Day events in Pokémon GO, the Bug Out 2025 will include special event bonuses and freebies.

The latest season of “Pokemon GO,” titled Might and Mastery, started on March 4 and will last for approximately three months, featuring exclusive, time-limited events such as the annual “Pokemon GO” Fest event. Kubfu, the Wushu Pokemon, made its debut in “Pokemon GO” on March 5 during one of the season’s initial events called Powerful Potential. In addition, more Pokemon will be introduced to “Pokemon GO” through this year’s Bug Out event, and trainers have a higher chance of leveling up and encountering elusive Shiny Pokemon.

From March 26, 10:00 a.m., through March 30, 8:00 p.m., local time, the Pokemon GO Bug Out event in 2025 will take place. This event includes Sizzlipede and Centiskorch. During this period, players will gain double XP and experience increased Candy/Candy XL drops when they catch Pokemon with Nice Throws or better. To evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch, you’ll need 50 Sizzlipede Candy. Additionally, Lure Modules will lure Sizzlipede, and catching numerous Pokemon using Lure Modules will attract even more Pokemon to the PokeStops that have been activated with these modules in Pokemon GO. There’s also a higher chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede during this event.
