Almost all open-world games offer a variety of weapons for players to select, most often traditional ones like firearms. However, Cyberpunk 2077 introduces a unique element: smart weapons. In the context of Cyberpunk 2077, smart weapons are those that can be controlled directly by the player through a Smart Link from a Ripperdock, offering an enhanced level of interaction and control over the weapon’s functionality.
Using a Smart Link enhances the homing capability of smart weapons, causing the fired projectiles to home in on their targets. Although this enhancement reduces the damage output slightly, consistently hitting your target more often is generally not considered a significant trade-off. Please note that the DPS and per-shot damage values displayed here might differ from what you see in your own weapon inventory; some players have reported unexpected changes in weapon stats over time without any apparent cause.
17. Hercules 3AX
An Explosive Weapon With An Outstandingly Long Clip
- Class: Assault Rifle
- Damage: 36.00
- Reload Speed: 3.20
- Magazine Capacity: 90 rounds
The Millitech Hercules 3 AX boasts a substantial ammo capacity, holding up to 90 rounds, which can be discharged even while drawn, causing significant destruction. Foes eliminated by this powerful weapon will not only be taken out but also trigger an explosion that inflicts 70% of the damage sustained on them as chemical harm onto nearby adversaries.
This effect can extend as far as 10 meters, making it perfect for managing large groups of people. It’s particularly effective in confined areas where adversaries may appear simultaneously from various sides.
How to Get the Millitech Hercules 3 AX
You can locate this firearm within the Shooting Range area at the Nighthawks Rehabilitation Center. If it hasn’t been stolen, you can also buy it from Herold Lowe at the EBM Petrochem Stadium.
16. Ogou
Increased Critical Hit And Bleed Chance

- Class: Pistol
- Damage: 13.26
- Attack Speed: 3.33
- Reload Speed: 1.40
- Magazine Capacity: 18 rounds
In the game expansion “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty,” Ogou is a version of the Kang Tao A-22B Chao that’s been upgraded. This upgrade boosts its critical hit probability, the likelihood it causes Bleed, and decreases its Lock-on Time compared to the regular A-22B. These enhancements make the Ogou a strategic pick for a powerful weapon.
In combat situations, the Ogou isn’t ideal for long-distance battles, but it excels in close quarters due to its impressive rate of damage against adversaries. The standout feature of the Ogou is its dual capability to fire explosive bullets that have a significant probability of dismantling the target.
How to Get the Ogou
This is dropped by the elite Robot R Mk.2 during the Treating Symptoms gig.
15. Pizdets
The More It’s Fired, The Higher The Chance Of A Critical Hit

- Class: Submachine Gun
- Damage: 38.55
- Attack Speed: 5.88
- Reload Speed: 2.1
- Magazine Capacity: 20 rounds
This high-tech mini-gun boasts an unique style, giving off a menacing vibe due to its true potential for danger – it’s one of the top smart weapons in the game, indeed. The standout feature of this weapon lies in its capability to progressively enhance the probability of scoring a critical hit as it continues to fire.
The Pizdets comes with a modifier for headshots and an integrated suppressor, making it a powerful choice in the game. In fact, it’s the highest damaging smart weapon available. To give you an idea of its power, when equipped with a silencer, the stealth damage boost is amplified by 220% and the effect of headshot multiplier increases by 35%.
How to Get the Pizdets
The Pizdets item can be obtained if the player owns the expansion “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.” It can be found during the mission called “Spy in the Jungle.” Here’s a helpful guide for getting the Pizdets.

14. Tsunami Kappa
Tracking Two Targets At Once Can Go A Long Way

- Class: Submachine Gun
- Damage: 31.99
- Attack Speed: 8.33
- Reload Speed: 1.32
- Magazine Capacity: 25 rounds
In Update 1.6, the Tsunami Kappa was added as a new option for an intelligent submachine gun, offering players another choice in firepower. Its magazine can hold a generous amount of ammunition, making it one of the few weapons (with no modifications) that can boast such capacity. What sets this weapon apart is its dual-target tracking capability, allowing it to focus on two targets simultaneously.
This weapon performs exceptionally well in appropriate scenarios, particularly in close-to-medium range battles that offer favorable shooting angles for bullet paths. The Kappa truly excels in indoor combat situations. There are two versions of the Kappa: x-MOD2 and Crimestopper, plus various skins. Notably, the Crimestopper can disable an opponent’s cyber limbs. However, this weapon’s Smart targeting system does not allow for the addition of a Scope or Muzzle attachment, which could deter some players from choosing it as their primary or secondary weapon.
How to Get the Tsunami Kappa
As a gamer, I’ve come across some unique weapons that can be picked up at various spots: Red Peaks, Japantown, Downtown, and Wellsprings. Each location’s Kappa offers a distinct skin variant. The elusive x-MOD2 appears at the Eventide Resort & Spa following the Spy in the Jungle gig, but you’ve got to have a Body score of 10 to get it. The Crimestopper, on the other hand, is obtained after wrapping up the Heaviest of Hearts gig, hidden inside a bag in VIP Room 6 within Heavy Hearts.
13. D5 Sidewinder
Little Damage Output Hinders This Weapon Greatly

- Class: Assault Rifle
- Damage: 8.67
- Attack Speed: 10
- Reload Speed: 1.55
- Magazine Capacity: 30 rounds
The D5 Sidewinder could be described as an intelligent, versatile rifle suitable for assault missions. In many games akin to Cyberpunk 2077, assault rifles tend to be the preferred weapon among most players. Other types of weapons, such as Power weapons, offer a variety of assault rifles that excel in different situations.
In the game ‘Cyberpunk 2077’, the Sidewinder rifle tends to deal less damage compared to even the weakest Power assault rifles, as it only delivers half the damage per shot. While its auto-targeting feature is beneficial, when it comes to choosing an assault rifle in this game, opting for a more traditional weapon and improving your aiming skills might be a wiser choice.
How to Get the D5 Sidewinder
In the pulsating world of Cyberpunk 2077, I’ve come to know a familiar piece – the Sidewinder. You can grab one from vendors nestled in Japantown and West Wind Estates. If you’re lucky, you might even find legendary versions up for grabs. And if you’re really lucky, you can pick up its unique specs from these same merchants.
12. Divided We Stand (D5 Sidewinder)
Considerable Electrical Damage And A Chance Of Poisoning

- Class: Assault Rifle
- Damage: 8.67
- Attack Speed: 10
- Reload Speed: 1.55
- Magazine Capacity: 30 rounds
The well-known weapon in Divided We Stand is more aptly described as a powerful electric assault rifle. Capable of discharging ten rounds every second, it can also lock onto as many as five foes at once. Moreover, this weapon has the ability to inflict electrical damage with a possibility of causing poisoning effects.
The issue with this firearm lies in its standard magazine capacity, which can only accommodate 30 bullets. As a result, when firing at a rate of six rounds per second, it depletes its ammunition rapidly. The Divided We Stand is an enhanced variant of the Nokota D5 Sidewinder.
How to Get the Divided We Stand
In the “Stadium Love” side mission, which takes place during the 6th Street party in Santo Domingo’s Rancho Coronado area, you can obtain the Sidewinder variant. Atop one of the rooftops, a group is holding a shooting competition. You have two options: join the contest and earn 44 points or more to win Divided We Stand, or engage in combat with the group, where you can pick up Divided We Stand from one of their fallen comrades.
11. HJKE-11 Yukimura (Genjiroh)
Great Damage Per Second Output

- Class: Pistol
- Damage: 9.33
- Attack Speed: 4.55
- Reload Speed: 1.60
- Magazine Capacity: 30 rounds
This high-tech pistol offers additional advantages that make it a better choice than typical weapons with higher damage output and quicker firing rates, such as an assault rifle. The HJKE-11 delivers significant damage per second and boasts a higher probability of landing critical hits.
Additionally, the HJKE-11 can inflict extra harm in terms of chemical, thermal, electrical, and physical properties, making it versatile against various enemy types. In this article, we’ll also discuss another version of the HJKE-11, named Genjiroh. While it shares many similarities with the standard model, it has a few distinct features: instead of thermal and chemical damage, it inflicts shock damage and enhances critical hits; apart from that and a unique paint job, the Genjiroh and standard HJKE-11 are virtually indistinguishable.
How to Get the HJKE-11 Yukimura
The smart weapon can be found in two places for the player to collect. Firstly, during the “Play It Safe” mission, go up to the 21st floor and inspect the door to the right of the elevator. Inside the room, there’s a locked door with the access code: 2906. If your Technical Ability score is at least 11, you can bypass the lock. Alternatively, if you don’t meet that requirement, use the keycode. Secondly, another instance of this weapon can be found within Arasaka Mansion.
10. A-22B Chao
A Great Deal Of Mod Slots Available

- Class: Pistol
- Damage: 10.19
- Attack Speed: 2.50
- Reload Speed: 1.40
- Magazine Capacity: 21 rounds
As a gamer, I’ve got to say, the A-22B Chao is another smart pistol that’s hard to beat. It packs quite a punch with an impressive DPS, making it a formidable choice. However, if you’re after sheer speed, the HJKE-11 might be more your style due to its faster rate of fire. But when it comes to overall performance, the A-22B takes the crown for me.
To begin with, the A-22B boasts more modifiable slots and reloads more swiftly compared to the HJKE-11. What sets the A-22B apart is its potential for inflicting extra thermal, chemical, physical, and critical damage. Given its intelligent design, almost every shot it fires will hit the target. Consequently, a higher rate of fire isn’t as beneficial in this case as it would be with a conventional (non-smart) weapon.
How to Get the A-22B Chao
As a gamer, I’ve come to find that the merchants in Japantown and West Wind Estate offer Epic versions of the Chao weapons. However, there’s a merchant in Red Peaks who might just have a Legendary variant up for grabs. On the other hand, Vista Del Rey’s vendor will equip me with an Epic-tier spec for my Chao. Unfortunately, the uncommon spec found in Japantown and West Wind Estates aren’t quite as desirable.
9. Tao G-58 Dian
A Good Weapon That, Unfortunately, Pales In Comparison To Others In Its Category

- Class: Submachine Gun
- Damage: 6.35
- Attack Speed: 12.50
- Reload Speed: 1.40
- Magazine Capacity: 45 rounds
The G-58 is an incredibly adaptable intelligent submachine gun, offering high damage output, rapid firing speed, and a magazine that doesn’t deplete rapidly. However, its consistency in damage per shot is non-variant. Initially, it appears impressive; however, when put side by side with the destructive capabilities of traditional submachine guns, its power seems significantly diminished.
The G-58 boasts four mod slots at its top-tier legendary level. While this is a fantastic smart gun, it often falls short compared to many other smart weapons in Cyberpunk 2077. If you’re partial to submachine guns, it’s recommended that you opt for the TKI-20 Shingen instead.
How to Get the Tao G-58 Dian
In various weapon shops located in Downtown, The Glen, Vista Del Rey, and Wellsprings, you can buy epic versions of the Dian. For those seeking a legendary variant, head to vendors in The Glen, Vista Del Rey, and Wellsprings. Miguel Rodriguez offers a legendary spec; during one of the Suspected Organized Crime Activity jobs in Vista Del Rey, you’ll have an opportunity to meet Miguel.
8. DB-4 Palica
Having To Reload After Every Shot Can Be Inconvenient

- Class: Shotgun
- Damage: 131.52
- Attack Speed: 5.0
- Reload Speed: 0.55
- Magazine Capacity: 2 rounds
The DB-4 Palica is essentially an intelligent, twin-barreled firearm that bears a striking resemblance to a compact rocket launcher. Had it incorporated a magazine for additional ammunition, it would have ranked higher on the list; however, it requires reloading after each shot.
With this firearm, each round expels additional heat and carries a risk of inflicting burn injuries. In a typical skirmish when wielding the DB-4, you’d come across a cluster of adversaries, fire a shot, and the engagement would swiftly conclude. While the DB-4 Palica is excellent, the L-69 Zhuo is a more intelligent option for an effective shotgun.
How to Get the DB-4 Palica
In the vibrant world of Cyberpunk 2077, I’m always on the lookout for powerful tools, and one that has caught my eye is the Palica. This high-tech weapon can be found in various gun shops or even lying beside fallen foes. Vendors in Japantown and West Wind Estate are known to stock this intelligent firearm, and they also offer its specifications for purchase. Interestingly, the West Wind Estate location carries a legendary variant of the Palica, making it a must-have for any discerning combatant like myself.
7. Yinglong (Tao G-58 Dian)
Possible EMP Emission Upon Impact

- Class: Submachine Gun
- Damage: 6.35
- Attack Speed: 12.50
- Reload Speed: 1.40
- Magazine Capacity: 45 rounds
In this entry, we’ll cover both the Tao G-58 Dian and its version, the Yinglong. The original G-58 boasts up to four modifiable slots and may even feature additional perks like causing bleed or inflicting thermal damage.
The Yinglong boasts an extra advantage over the regular G-58, as bullets discharged from it may potentially generate an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) upon impact. This feature makes the Yinglong particularly effective against adversaries relying on electronics. Although the standard version inflicts slightly more overall damage, the Yinglong has a higher probability of causing additional damage in the form of chemical or thermal effects.
How to Get the Yinglong
Gear up for a battle to secure this weapon as your prize. The blueprint for Yinglong is currently with the boss of the Organized Crime syndicate in the Wellsprings district of Heywood. Once you’ve obtained the blueprint, remember that you’ll also need the Edgerunner Artisan talent to manufacture the weapon.
6. L-69 Zhuo
Chance Of Additional Electrical, Thermal, Or Chemical Damage

- Class: Shotgun
- Damage: 57.04
- Attack Speed: 2.50
- Reload Speed: 2.0
- Magazine Capacity: 4 rounds
In the game Cyberpunk 2077, besides the variants, the L-69 Zhuo stands out as one of the top-notch smart shotguns. Compared to others, including its counterpart, the Zhuo is particularly impressive. Although the damage per shot may not surpass that of the Palica, the Zhuo boasts several advantages that elevate it in this ranking.
In simpler terms, the Zhou weapon system exhibits less fluctuation in inflicting damage compared to the Palica, making its output more reliable. Additionally, the Zhou can be fired quicker than the Palica. Regarding the L-69 Zhuo and its legendary counterpart, the Ba Xing Chong, it’s worth noting that the standard version occasionally delivers extra electrical, thermal, or chemical damage which the Ba Xing Chong does not possess.
How to Get the L-69 Zhuo
In this game, you can acquire this particular weapon, but keep in mind that it’s only available from a single vendor. This specific vendor situated downtown offers up to a legendary-grade version of the Zhou weapon. You can also buy its specifications there, although they are for the Epic variant.
5. TKI-20 Shingen
Up To Four Enemies Can Be Targeted Simultaneously

- Class: Submachine Gun
- Damage: 7.92
- Attack Speed: 7.92
- Reload Speed: 1.90
- Magazine Capacity: 30 rounds
Among all the smart submachine guns in the game, none surpasses the TKI-20 Shingen, with the exception of its prototype version. Apart from its impressive firepower and generous ammo capacity, this weapon boasts a unique feature that allows it to lock onto as many as four enemies at once.
This tool might offer extra perks, including both physical harm and bleeding damage, along with a higher probability for a critical strike. The TKI-20 further includes up to four customization slots. This device is not only potent but also user-friendly, allowing players to emerge victorious even with their eyes shut.
How to Get the TKI-20 Shingen
You can acquire the heroic versions of Shingen swords at the weapons merchants located in Arroyo, Biotechnica Flats, Rancho Coronado, Red Peaks, and Rocky Ridge. Interestingly, the downtown vendor offers legendary variants for purchase instead. The blueprint for crafting this weapon can also be found at these spots.
4. Skippy (HJKE-11 Yukimura)
A Fun Concept That Sometimes Fails In Execution

- Class: Pistol
- Damage: 9.33
- Attack Speed: 4.55
- Reload Speed: 1.60
- Magazine Capacity: 30 rounds
The weapon known as Skippy is similar to the HJKE-11 Yukimura pistol, but it offers a lower rate of damage per second (DPS) compared to its counterpart. Each shot from Skippy deals slightly less damage individually. This gun has some appealing features, yet it also comes with a few frustrating ones. It boasts two firing modes: “Affectionate Canine Lover” and “Icy Assassin.
In a non-violent configuration, this weapon’s AI tends to be unpredictable, sometimes performing actions that players don’t desire, such as deliberately missing targets, whereas in the aggressive setting, it would typically focus on hitting the vital areas of the target, be it limbs or head. For the opposite of the preferred long-term setting, we can say this weapon operates with an erratic AI.
How to Get the HJKE-11 Yukimura
As a gamer, I stumbled upon Skippy in Heywood, just casually lying on the ground. To locate him, head over to the College St. metro station, and keep an eye out for a marked spot on your map. That’s where you’ll find Skippy. After a swift leap over a fence, you’ll discover Skippy nestled in a briefcase next to a deceased individual. This unfortunate soul is sandwiched between some mattresses and a dumpster. I agreed to return it to its owner but, well, somehow the Side Job slipped my mind.
3. Ba Xing Chong (L-69 Zhuo)
Players Can Shoot A Single Target, Or Up To Eight At The Same Time

- Class: Shotgun
- Damage: 287.68
- Attack Speed: 2.0
- Reload Speed: 2.30
- Magazine Capacity: 2 rounds
The L-69 Zhuo is an intelligent shotgun that carries only four rounds at a time. Compared to the Ba Xing Chong, its rate of damage per second isn’t as impressive. However, both guns have the ability to lock onto and strike up to eight enemies all at once, making the L-69 an excellent option for dealing with large groups of adversaries.
As a gamer, I’d say: Each burst I unleash can be concentrated on a single foe for maximum destruction, making it ideal for swiftly taking down small enemy squads. The Ba Xing Chong, in particular, is a game-changer because it fires explosive rounds, essentially functioning like an eight-grenade launcher in one go!
How to Get the Ba Xing Chong
To fully understand and obtain this legendary smart gun, Ba Xing Chong, you will need to finish the game first. In your initial playthrough, you’ll have to sneakily grab Adam Smasher’s vault key. Following the completion of the game, venture towards Ebunike to raid the vault. Inside the vault, you’ll find the blueprints for Ba Xing Chong. However, it’s important to note that you’ll also need the Edgerunner Artisan perk to actually craft this weapon.
2. Tsunami Ashura
A Good Weapon That Suffers From A Low Fire Rate

- Class: Sniper
- Damage: 109.20
- Attack Speed: 1.67
- Reload Speed: 1.68
- Magazine Capacity: 1 round
In the game Cyberpunk 2077, the Tsunami Ashura stands out as the unique sniper rifle equipped with advanced technology; it’s not just your typical one-shot-one-kill weapon. Instead, this rifle fires bullets that actively home in on their targets.
Using the Ashura comes with a drawback: it has a significantly slow rate of fire, which makes it ineffective for medium and close-range battles. However, this weapon boasts up to four modifiable slots (the number depending on its rarity), offering potential enhancements such as increased chemical, electrical, thermal, or physical damage.
The Ashura isn’t ideal for many combat situations due to its slow firing speed, particularly in medium and short-range engagements. On the upside, it offers as many as four customization slots that can boost its chemical, electrical, thermal, or physical damage, depending on its rarity.
How to Get the Tsunami Ashura
In The Glen, Wellsprings, Vista Del Rey, and Downtown, you’ll find merchants who stock the Ashura. Notably, the legendary version can be obtained at the Wellsprings store. Its blueprint for crafting legends is also available at Wellsprings, Vista Del Rey, and The Glen. During the mission “Suspected Organized Crime Activity: Desperate Sons-of-Bitches” in Rancho Coronado, which you can find on the NCPD scanner, you’ll meet a man named Paul Craven who drops a legendary spec for this weapon.
1. Prototype Shingen Mark V (TKI-20 Shingen)
Ideal For Shredding Groups Of Enemies In A Heartbeat

- Class: Submachine Gun
- Damage: 7.92
- Attack Speed: 6.67
- Reload Speed: 1.90
- Magazine Capacity: 30 rounds
The Shingen Mark V, a version of the original TKI-20 Shingen submachine gun, shares similar DPS with its base model. Both fire at the same rate. However, what sets the Shingen Mark V apart is its ammunition; instead of regular rounds, it fires explosive bullets.
The Ba Xing Chong is capable of simultaneously attacking up to eight targets using explosive ammunition. On the other hand, the Mark V can focus on three adversaries at once; it essentially functions as an automatic grenade launcher, carrying a standard magazine of thirty rounds. Yet, the Prototype Shingen Mark V swiftly eliminates clusters of enemies in just seconds, making multiplayer battles particularly challenging.
How to Get the Prototype Shingen Mark V
During the “Gimme Danger” mission, you can find the Shingen variant. It’s located inside an open shipping container sitting on a trailer. You’ll recognize it by the number 667 painted on the door. Please exercise caution when entering as there’s an active mine on the floor. The prototype is placed in an open case within.
