Get Oghma Infinium in Oblivion Remastered (Easy Guide!)

In the game Oblivion Remastered, players will encounter the Daedric Prince named Hermaeus Mora, who is known as the lord of forbidden knowledge. This is the final quest that the player will undertake in the game. Hermaeus Mora demands that the players hunt down all ten races within the game and capture their souls in a soul gem. Although this task may seem challenging, it is necessary if you wish to finish the Shrine of Hermaeus Mora quest and acquire the Oghma Infinium book or artifact. However, be mindful that killing NPCs can be avoided if you prefer not to do so during the quest.

How to Start the Hermaeus Mora Shrine Quest in Oblivion Remastered

Hermaeus Mora’s Shrine lies in the northwestern part of the Imperial City, nestled within the Jerall Mountains in the Oblivion Remastered realm. As this is the last shrine required before acquiring the final Daedric Artifact, there are certain prerequisites that must be met.

  • Character level should be at least 20.
  • Must have completed all 14 other Daedric Prince Shrines.
  • Must have completed the Blood of Daedra quest by giving one of the artifacts to Martin.

After meeting all necessary requirements, players are free to journey towards the shrine where they can converse with the Daedric Prince, Hermaeus Mora. Hermaeus will assign the players a mission: gather the souls of ten distinct species or races in Cyrodiil. To carry out this task, he’ll bestow upon them a Soul Gem and a Soul Trap Spell called Mora’s Soul Trap. The spell should be cast on the target before you eliminate them, capturing their soul within the soul gem.

Collecting the Souls of 10 Races & Getting the Oghma Infinium Artifact

Locating all Non-Player Characters (NPCs) across ten different races can be quite an undertaking in ‘Oblivion Remastered’, since you’ll have to travel extensively throughout the game world to find them. But, there’s a quick and hassle-free method to fulfill Hermaeus Mora’s mission, and here are the steps:

1. First, ensure that you have completed the quest “The Oblivion Crisis” and have obtained the key to the Oblivion Gate in your inventory.

2. Next, travel to any location with an active Oblivion Gate (you can use fast travel if available).

3. Approach the gate, and interact with it to open it.

4. Step through the gate into the plane of Oblivion. Here, you will find a group of Daedra who are bound to Hermaeus Mora.

5. Kill all the Daedra in the area to free their souls. These freed souls will appear as floating orbs around your character.

6. Collect these orbs and return to the mortal plane through any open Oblivion Gate (you do not need to collect them from the specific gate you came from).

7. Return to Hermaeus Mora in the College of Winterhold, and he will reward you with a powerful spell for each soul you have collected.

8. Repeat steps 2-7 until you have collected all ten souls of the NPCs from their respective races.

Travel swiftly to the sanctuary dedicated to Peryite, situated southeast of the Imperial City. This is the very same shrine where you previously saved the devotees and received the Spell Breaker shield as a reward. Upon your arrival, all followers of Peryite will be present, representing the diverse races within the game. To collect their souls, employ the Mora’s Soul Trap Spell on each one and subsequently dispatch them. Once they have perished, their soul will be securely stored in Hermaeus Mora’s Soul Gem.

After gathering all the spirits from your slain enemies, make your way back to Hermaeus Mora’s Sanctum to present them. This act rewards players with the Oghma Infinium artifact in the Oblivion Remastered game. To access this reward, players should navigate to their inventory and open the book to select one of several available paths. The attributes and skills associated with each path will then be bolstered by a significant 10 points increase.
