Get Ready for Epic Battles: Pokemon GO’s New April Raid Day Revealed!

Summary

  • A new Raid Day on April 13 features Mega Heracross, Hariyama, and Scraggy in Pokemon GO.
  • The event grants new moves, increased shiny encounter chances, and bonus raid passes.
  • An exclusive ticket is available for extra benefits like double Stardust and more XP in raids.

On April 13th, Pokemon GO has scheduled a fresh Raid Event starring Mega Heracross, Hariyama, and Scraggy. This marks the fifth Raid Day for Pokemon GO in the year 20XX, continuing after the events themed around Mega Gallade, Ho-Oh, Hoopa Unbound, Mega Absol, and Mega Audino.

In Generation 2, Heracross is among the monsters presented, closely resembling the Hercules beetle in appearance. Notably, Ash utilized this Pokémon in the anime without it evolving into or from any other creature. However, it can undergo Mega Evolution, resulting in a more robust exoskeleton. Hariyama is a Pokémon originating from Generation 3, with a design inspired by a sumo wrestler and serving as the evolution of Makuhita. Scraggy debuted in Generation 5 games; this charming, lizard-like creature evolves into Scrafty at level 39. These three distinctive Pokémon will be showcased during one of the upcoming April events, providing trainers with fresh chances to capture them.

On Sunday, April 13, 2025, between 2 pm and 5 pm local time, Pokemon GO is hosting a Raid Day called Sparring Partners, featuring the Pokemon Heracross, Hariyama, and Scraggy. During this event, these Fighting-type Pokemon will appear more frequently in Raids. Starting from this Raid Day, Mega Heracross, Hariyama, and Scraggy will have the ability to learn Charged Attack Upper Hand. This move has a power of 50 in raids and gyms, and 70 during trainer battles. Furthermore, using Charged Attack Upper Hand in trainer battles can lower the opponent’s defense by one stage.
