On May 1st, World of Warcraft unveiled Patch 11.1.7, Legacy of Arathor. This update transports players to the Arathi Highlands to help cool down escalating conflicts between the Alliance and the Horde. Additionally, World of Warcraft is reintroducing the Turbulent Timeways and Greedy Emissary events, as well as adding Battle for Azeroth dungeons to the rotation for Timewalking.
As a dedicated World of Warcraft fan, I’m thrilled about the upcoming Legacy of Arathor update, which promises to enhance user experience even further by incorporating some beloved add-on features into the core gameplay. One of the most exciting new additions is the Combat Assistant, modeled after the popular Hekili add-on. This feature, once activated, will make certain spell and ability icons on my hotbars glow during combat, guiding me on which button to press for optimal performance. The Combat Assistant can also be adjusted into a Single-Button Assistant mode, allowing it to automatically cast the next recommended spell or ability in sequence. While this convenient feature comes with a slight increase in global cooldown, I’m looking forward to streamlining my gameplay experience even more!
In addition to the Combat Assistant, Legacy of Arathor brings new quests and narratives for World of Warcraft enthusiasts to explore. Blizzard is working on Patch 11.1.7, which will soon be available on the Public Test Realm (PTR), allowing players to offer feedback and report any problems that arise. In Patch 11.1.7, players will revisit the Arathi Highlands to deal with escalating conflicts between the Alliance and the Horde.
World of Warcraft Shares First Legacy Of Arathor Update Details
- World of Warcraft’s 11.1.7 update, Legacy of Arathor, will take players to the Arathi Highlands.
- An escalating situation between the Alliance and the Horde will be told from two faction-based perspectives.
- Battle for Azeroth Timewalking dungeons will be added in Patch 11.1.7.
- The Turbulent Timeways and Greedy Emissary events will return during Legacy of Arathor.
In the upcoming Arathi questline, the story will be presented from two distinct viewpoints, depending on your faction. Successfully completing these quests will earn you either the Stromgarde or Mag’har Tabard as a reward. The new affix called Overcharged, exclusive to Delves, is set to make these dungeons more challenging and potentially rewarding for those who conquer them, as outlined in World of Warcraft’s 2025 plan. The Legacy of Arathor expansion is expected to debut later in the spring, with Patch 11.2 scheduled for release in the summer.
In this update, Arathor’s heritage brings back the turbulent Timeways and Greed Emissary events. The Timeways event provides a speedy level-up for your alternate characters, while the Greed Emissary offers re-colored class armor sets that were distributed during World of Warcraft’s 20th Anniversary event. Additionally, some of Battle for Azeroth’s most popular dungeons, such as Freehold, Atal’Dazar, and Waycrest Manor, will be included in the Timewalking rotation.
During the ongoing Timewalking event in Battle for Azeroth, fresh rewards can be obtained from vendors stationed in Boralus and Dazar’alor. In light of the recent player criticism towards World of Warcraft’s Nightfall update, the Legacy of Arathor expansion faces an intriguing future.
