In a unique twist, Splatoon 3 has unveiled a special Splatfest titled the 2025 SpringFest, commencing on April 11. Players will be asked to declare allegiance to either Mornings, Afternoons, or Nights, depending on their preferred time of day. Engage in this limited-time event and support your chosen team to reap rewards reflecting the collective achievements of your side.
The SpringFest event for Splatoon 3 is set to begin approximately a month following the release of Patch 9.3.0. Although major updates have ceased, Nintendo continues to support the game with periodic patches that fine-tune certain weapons, influencing the outcome of multiplayer battles. The recent 9.3.0 update for Splatoon 3 has modified specific Tricolor Turf War maps by making areas near team spawn points impervious to ink coverage due to terrain changes. These periodic patches are also employed to rectify existing bugs and enhance overall performance within the game.
Despite the conclusion of major Splatfest events in 2024, enthusiasts of Splatoon 3 can look forward to a seasonal Splatfest to join starting on April 11, at 8:00 PM Eastern. This exciting SpringFest event for Splatoon 3 will kick off during the ongoing Sneak Peek period. Players are invited to visit the Pledge Box and respond to the question, “When do you get things done?” as they have in previous Splatfests like the Chocolate Splatfest in February. Just like before, each of the three members of Deep Cut will represent a different side in this event.
Splatoon 3 Shares SpringFest Splatfest Details (April 2025)
At SpringFest, Shiver will stand for Team Morning, Frye will join forces with Team Afternoon, and Big Man will assist Team Night. The SpringFest wraps up on Sunday, April 13, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, and the results will be declared in-game shortly thereafter. Members of Nintendo Switch Online who participate in Splatoon 3 can also snag some SpringFest user icons during the Splatfest event.
During SpringFest, players using Switch consoles will find a promotional piece in their News app offering rewards from the Hare vs. Tortoise Splatfest event in Splatoon 2, such as the Pearlescent Squidkid IV shoes. To collect these items, simply launch the game from within the News app and retrieve them at the lobby terminal once it’s opened. Additionally, Nintendo announced that players of Splatoon 3 can keep track of upcoming in-game events, including any returning Splatfests, through the free Nintendo Today mobile app.
With Splatfests occurring irregularly, SpringFest might be the final one in Splatoon 3 before the Switch 2 goes on sale on June 5. It’s yet unclear if Splatoon 3 will receive a special edition for the Nintendo Switch 2.
