Solo Leveling was a standout anime in 2025, and it set the stage for a fantastic year of high-quality shows. Fans especially enjoyed Sung Jinwoo’s continued journey in Solo Leveling Season 2, which propelled the series into the mainstream spotlight.

The series had an incredible year, gaining wider popularity and winning several awards, including Crunchyroll’s Anime of the Year. Many fans are surprised that Season 3 of Solo Leveling hasn’t been announced yet. Although some expected the new season to arrive in 2026, that seems unlikely. While fans will miss Solo Leveling’s action, they won’t have to wait long for a thrilling replacement: Jujutsu Kaisen is officially returning with Season 3, and it’s expected to be even more action-packed.

It looks unlikely that Solo Leveling will return in 2026. While many fans are disappointed, this gives them a chance to explore other anime. Since Solo Leveling and Jujutsu Kaisen both feature intense action and powerful fights, viewers who enjoyed Solo Leveling likely already know Jujutsu Kaisen. However, if you haven’t seen it yet, now’s a great time to prepare for Jujutsu Kaisen’s Season 3, which is coming in January 2026.

I’ve been following both series, and it’s clear to me that Jujutsu Kaisen is, and will likely remain, much more popular and impactful than Solo Leveling. If you were a fan of the action in Solo Leveling, I think you’ll really enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 – things are about to get incredibly intense with the start of the Culling Game. Honestly, the stakes in JJK are much higher than anything Solo Leveling offered, and the fights are just on a different scale. While we won’t have new Solo Leveling content in 2026, I’m confident Jujutsu Kaisen will more than fill the void with what looks to be its most thrilling season yet.

Solo Leveling Season 3 Still Has No Release Date

Solo Leveling Will Likely Return In 2027

There’s currently no confirmed release date for Solo Leveling Season 3, and it’s unlikely we’ll get one in 2026. However, we can expect some news about it in 2026, and a release late in the year isn’t impossible. Most likely, though, Solo Leveling Season 3 will premiere in 2027.

There are currently 25 episodes of Solo Leveling available – the first season has 12 episodes and the second has 13. You can watch both seasons on Crunchyroll. If you’re eager for more content before season 3 arrives, the original Solo Leveling Manhwa is a good way to continue the story.
