It’s been announced that the seventh and last phase of the Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic is set to begin on January 28. This update includes the introduction of the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the Scourge Invasions event. Approximately a week later, on February 6, guilds in World of Warcraft Classic will have the chance to delve into the legendary Naxxramas raid, offering fresh challenges for players to conquer.
In two months, Phase 7 of the Season of Discovery will commence, following closely on the heels of Phase 6 which transported “World of Warcraft Classic” players back to Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and Ahn’qiraj raids. During these raids, “World of Warcraft” players encountered a shadowy figure in the desert ruins, hinting at unseen threats like the Old God C’thun. Despite speculation that this figure was Xal’atath from “World of Warcraft: The War Within,” the enigmatic NPC only offered cryptic remarks about the Old Gods during Phase 6. It remains to be seen if this shadowy figure will make a reappearance in Phase 7.
Despite Season of Discovery reaching its end with Phase 7, there are fresh obstacles on the horizon for World of Warcraft Classic gamers. As announced by Blizzard, Phase 7 commences on Tuesday, January 28, following a brief maintenance period. Upon server resumption, World of Warcraft Classic players will have the opportunity to explore the new Karazhan Crypts 5-player dungeon located in Deadwind Pass. This takes adventurers beneath the legendary tower of Karazhan, which was later transformed into a 10-player raid in The Burning Crusade. In addition to the Karazhan Crypts, the Scourge Invasion event will see waves of undead creatures overrun various zones and cities across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Players can also embark on new Scourge Invasion quests at Light’s Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands. By defeating undead enemies, players can accumulate Necrotic Runes to acquire new consumable items.
