Among the changes and updates, charms are a welcome addition to Ghost of Yotei, as they reappear from the earlier game.
Similar to the last version, this update includes many items to collect, which can customize Atsu’s abilities and help you succeed in challenging battles.
I’m going to share my favorite charms from Ghost of Yotei, explaining why they’re so effective and useful in the game.
12. Charm Of Stolen Flame
Fuel The Flames

| Type | Minor Defense |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Win twice in Zeni Hajiki at the Oni’s Breath Inn |
I’m beginning with the Charm of Stolen Flame, and while it currently ranks low, it still has a lot of promise.
This charm is essential for anyone exploring the Ishikari Plains and following the main story focused on defeating the Oni.
This charm is especially useful against Oni’s followers because they often coat their weapons in fire. It lets you fight fire with fire, and also makes your attacks temporarily impossible for them to block.
11. Charm Of Fatal Silence
Sting like a Bee
| Type | Minor Ranged |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Rewarded after completing the Blood on the Snow quest. |
The Charm of Fatal Silence in Ghost of Yotei is a straightforward but useful item. It simply makes your arrows impact silently, preventing enemies from being alerted by the sound.
I kept this equipped in my stealth build, using it for important moments like quietly sneaking into enemy camps or fortresses.
This lets you quickly eliminate distant enemies, like archers on towers, without alerting their allies.
10. Charm Of Masakado
Maximum Revival
| Type | Onryo |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Amber Respite Shrine in Tokachi Range |
The Charm of Masakado is a fairly straightforward charm with a significant advantage that’s easy to miss: it lets your Onryo’s Will Technique fully restore your health.
Okay, so this might not look amazing, but seriously, having this equipped during boss fights – especially those one-on-one duels – is a game-changer. Normally, when I die, I come back with only a quarter of my health, but with this, I get a full revive! It’s saved my skin so many times.
9. Charm Of Lingering Shadows
Nothing is Permitted
| Type | Minor Stealth |
|---|---|
| How To Get | High Wall Fox Den in Teshio Ridge |
The Charm of Lingering Shadows makes it harder for enemies to spot you. To improve this charm, though, you’ll need to defeat enemies while they’re distracted by your throwable jars.
Similar to the Charm of Fatal Silence, this item works best when you’re trying to be sneaky. However, enemies in this game aren’t very difficult to avoid, even if they do spot you.
8. Charm Of Enduring Resolve
Risk Equals Reward
| Type | Minor Utility |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Twin Path Fox Den in Ishikari Plain |
If you enjoy playing with Atsu’s special moves, like her Heavenly Slash or Takezo’s Dual Slash, you’ll really like this.
The Enduring Resolve charm gives you a chance to recover spirit while using abilities in battle. With upgrades, you might even get back half the spirit cost of using those abilities.
7. Charm Of Hidden Blades
Ninja Hattori Would Be Proud
| Type | Minor Stealth |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Rewarded for your 2nd successful clear of a farm in Hana’s “Winter Farms” quest. |
If you’re building a shinobi character in Atsu and want to get the most out of her fast-paced weapon attacks, the Charm of Hidden Blades is a must-have.
I think the Kunai is one of the most powerful tools in the game. It lets you quickly break an enemy’s defense or even defeat them instantly.
This ability makes them even stronger in fights. You can throw three at separate enemies, which is also useful for managing groups of opponents when things get intense.
6. Charm Of Brutal Volley
They Can’t Catch This One
| Type | Major Stealth |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Grassy Hill Fox Den in Yotei Grasslands |
I really like the new throwable weapons in this game. They let you quickly inflict heavy damage, and even instantly defeat certain enemies, right in the middle of a fight.
If you want to instantly defeat enemies or maximize your damage output, the Charm of the Brutal Valley is a great addition to almost any character build.
5. Charm Of Masaka
For When It Gets Dicey
| Type | Minor Stealth |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Enduring Hold Shrine in Teshio Ridge |
If you’re feeling down, using the Charm of Masaka along with a smoke bomb can quickly lift your spirits and make things feel better.
Using this restores your health, which is incredibly helpful when you’re facing multiple enemies or are very close to being defeated.
Honestly, the coolest thing is how fast you can level this up. All you have to do is take out enemies while they’re stuck in the smoke, and boom – instant upgrade! It’s a really satisfying gameplay loop.
4. Takezo’s Charm Of The Stout Heart
Extra Rejuvenation
| Type | Minor Defense |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Takezo’s Disciple in the Duel Among Ruins. |
I slightly regret not upgrading Takezo’s Charm of the Stout Heart, which you get by defeating one of Takezo’s Disciples before your final battle with him.
This charm is incredibly valuable for almost any character build. Because you’ll likely have a lot of health, maximizing your healing is essential, and this charm helps you do just that.
Learn from my mistake: don’t use those empty sake jars during fights! You’ll need to break them by defeating enemies to improve this charm.
3. Charm of Mount Yotei
Built Like A Tank
| Type | Minor Defense |
|---|---|
| How To Get | Rewarded for solving your first Mountain Reliquary puzzle. |
If you’re aiming for a really tough challenge in Lethal Company – like playing on hard difficulty or higher – the Mount Yotei charm is essential and should be equipped constantly.
Even though it’s not super noticeable on easier difficulties, this charm lets you recover a small amount of health when you perfectly parry attacks. It’s a helpful extra benefit, particularly during boss battles.
Reaching the top tier is trickier than it sounds – you have to find and solve all of the Mountain Reliquary puzzles hidden around the world.
