Sucker Punch Productions has consistently updated Ghost of Tsushima after its release, but their updates have generally been about fixing problems and glitches rather than adding new content.
Players have been asking for this feature since the game launched last month, and the developers are finally adding it next week.
Alongside this new feature, there are also other bits of new stuff also being added all for free.
Ghost of Yotei New Game Plus Confirmed In Upcoming Update
Sony revealed that a New Game+ mode will be added to Ghost of Tsushima with an update launching on November 24th.
This update includes even more exciting additions, like new charms, trophies, and a more challenging difficulty level.
- New Game+
- New harder difficulty options
- Two new Trophies
- New currency, “Ghost Flowers” that players can exchange with a new vendor for new items
- 30 new cosmetics, which includes new armor sets and weapon dyes
- 10 new charms
- Players will be able to earn an additional tier of upgrades for your existing armor sets and weapons
- Replay content post-game
- New stat display
- New accessibility options, including directional button remapping
- New Photo Mode feature,s including shutter speed, composition grid, new filters
All of these will be part of the free title update.
Expect bug fixes and other improvements to be part of the update once it’s released.
If you’re unfamiliar with Ghost of Yotei, it’s a great follow-up to the previous game. As our review explains, Yotei continues to honor the rich details and artistic style of classic Samurai films.
Regarding the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima content, the developers at Sucker Punch have revealed they removed some of the game’s most impactful emotional scenes. Fans are hoping this content might be released as downloadable content in the future, but there have been no official announcements about that – the only confirmed addition so far is a new multiplayer mode called Legends, planned for next year.
