Today, we got a peek at the upcoming gameplay for the Ghost of Yotei, which includes a fresh lineup of firearms as a new class of weapons. This action-packed sequel to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima has now been finalized for production and is set to be released on October 2nd, nearly a month in advance. While players eagerly await the game, they can satisfy their curiosity with newly revealed footage centered around these gun-focused elements.
Over the recent weeks, we’ve had a good glimpse of protagonist Atsu’s weapons such as the Yari and Kusarigama. Since the sequel is set 329 years after Tsushima, a single katana may no longer suffice (playing on words). Now, we catch a glimpse of something new to the series – firearms.
Atsu Unleashes Bullet Time in New Firearm-Centric Ghost of Yotei Gameplay
Diving into Ghost of Yotei’s gameplay, I found myself up against an array of lethal firearms that pack quite a punch! However, their booming blasts are anything but subtle – they give away my position to every guard in sight. That’s why I had to strategize, stunning enemies first and then taking the time to reload these powerful weapons. But hey, when it comes to taking down a stubborn enemy or attracting a group towards me, there’s no better option than these firearms!
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled about the new game that puts me in control as Atsu, a relentless mercenary seeking vengeance. Following the heartbreaking loss of my family at the hands of the Yotei Six, I’m on a mission to bring justice and closure. Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch’s previous masterpiece that swept numerous awards upon its 2020 release, has set some high expectations. If Ghost of Yotei can deliver the same immersive experience and captivating storytelling, it’s sure to make a lasting impression on us fans!
