Go-Go Town update adds hundreds of new items, new home expansions

As an avid city builder and decorating enthusiast with a soft spot for charming, laid-back games, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about Prideful Sloth’s latest update for Go-Go Town! Having spent countless hours crafting and customizing my virtual abode in previous updates, I can only imagine the creative freedom that comes with the new home expansions, 360 camera build mode, and the vast array of new decor items.

Just dropped by to share some thrilling news, folks! The brilliant minds behind Go-Go Town, Prideful Sloth, have rolled out an enormous update! You’re in for a treat with a heap of fresh goodies, brand-new areas to explore, and a whole lot more to keep our gaming hearts racing!

Get ready to unleash your inner design genius and transform your home into a dream sanctuary, both inside and out! The much-awaited major update 3, titled Creative Corners, is now live. In response to your persistent requests, Prideful Sloth has listened intently and today offers you limitless possibilities for home expansions. Now, you can place room walls anywhere without constraints, enjoy a complete 360-degree camera build mode, and craft hundreds of new decorative items (also known as doodads). From this day forward, your humble abode will shine with more style than ever before!

Here’s some of the new features, as well:

Redesign your Residence – With 29 brand new wallpapers, 13 new interior floors, 93 buildable objects and 110 doodads – the decorator in you is just getting started.
A Splash of Colour (or a bucket!) – The all new Colour Picker is set to be a fan favorite as players can decorate their craftable doodads with new colours they have created, or to pick a colour of another item to match!
Attention to Detail – Maximise your customisation by placing objects on top of one another – laying the table for your guests? Placing a rug on your swanky wooden floors or outside as a picnic blanket? Decorating your shelves with lots of trinkets and plants? The possibilities are endless!

There is also “a new Small Trade Area in their towns, featuring 8 new traders”, says the developer.

During our preliminary assessment, we noted: “Although it’s currently in Early Access, Go-Go Town! provides a laid-back city building experience with an abundance of engaging activities. Its straightforward and logical progression and unlock system, coupled with the simplicity of making your town visually appealing, kept me captivated. I find myself unwilling to stop playing, and given its smooth performance on Steam Deck, it’s perfect for a quick pick-up-and-play session when you want to relax for a while and manage your town. The only aspect that slightly annoyed me was the storage issue, but as you play more, you discover solutions for this problem. If you’re seeking a life simulation game with an experience similar to Animal Crossing, this is definitely worth checking out.
