God of War Ragnarok PC Mod Allows Players to Bypass PSN Requirement

God of War Ragnarok debuted on PC on September 19, 2024, but the response from players was less than favorable. Shortly after launch, the newly-ported PC version started receiving an influx of negative reviews, with many players voicing concerns about the necessity to link their PSN accounts. Surprisingly, a modder has already proposed a workaround for this issue.

According to PC Gamer, a developer named iArtorias has introduced a modification (mod) called NOPSSDK for God of War Ragnarok. This mod can be obtained through Nexus Mods and GitHub. By using the NOPSSDK library, this modification eliminates the need for the PlayStation PC SDK runtime requirement in its entirety. After installing this mod, players are free to wreak havoc across the Norse realms without needing a PSN account.

How to Install God of War Ragnarok NOPSSDK Mod?

Users can navigate to Nexus Mods or GitHub to install NOPSSDK for God of War Ragnarok on PC. Get the most recent version, then transfer the “version.dll” and “PsPcSdk.dll” files into the game’s folder. Subsequently, players should choose “No” when the game prompts them to connect their Steam and PSN accounts.

The creator has also provided some troubleshooting methods if the mod doesn’t work correctly. If players encounter a login screen error, they should remove this file, “C:\Users[Username]\Saved Games\God of War Ragnarök[AccountID]\userpreferences”. Then, when the game asks you to link your Steam and PSN accounts, press “No”.
