God of War’s Kratos Actor Wants To Go to Egypt for the Next Game

Christopher Judge, the actor who plays Kratos, has shared his excitement about the possibility of the next God of War game being set in Egypt.

There’s been a lot of talk about future God of War games, including potential spin-offs and the next main installment, but we haven’t had an official confirmation yet. Recently, images from a multiplayer God of War game that was cancelled surfaced online, and now the actor who plays Kratos has said he’d be excited to film scenes in Egypt if that’s where the next game takes place.

Going to Egypt for the Next God of War “Would be a Completion of My Circle’

At a recent panel during MCM London Comic Con, Christopher Judge, the actor who plays Kratos in the God of War series, hinted at the possibility of the next game taking place in Egypt. Judge explained that filming there would be personally significant, as he’s well-known for his role as Teal’c in Stargate, which filmed in Egypt. While he acknowledged that plans aren’t final – and even clarified that another game isn’t guaranteed – he expressed confidence that any future installment, regardless of its mythological setting, would be excellent.

Fans have often speculated about Egypt as the setting for a future God of War game, and for good reason. After Kratos’ adventures in Greece and Norse mythology, a new pantheon of gods in Egypt would be a natural fit. Adding to this possibility, reports surfaced earlier this year that Sony was auditioning actors from the Middle East for a major, unannounced game – potentially the next installment in the God of War series.
