Attention: The following discussion reveals key plot points from the nineteenth episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA, titled “Betrayal”. If you’re watching it on Crunchyroll and don’t want any spoilers, please read this at your own risk.
Fans of Dragon Ball were thrilled to watch Goku and Vegeta transform into Super Saiyans as children and journey through the Demon Realm in the Daimao anime series. While there was some criticism about the concept, it’s worth noting that the storyline proved to be engaging, and the action sequences were top-notch.
Regardless of our fondness for the young versions of Goku and Vegeta, as each new episode passed, we eagerly anticipated seeing these characters revert to their adult selves. In fact, Dragon Ball Daima just aired its penultimate episode of season 1, and the creators granted our wishes by featuring Goku and Vegeta in their full-grown forms once again.
Glorio’s Wish Made Goku And Vegeta Return To Their Adulthood
Piccolo And The Others Also Revert To Their Adult Forms
Immediately following Goku’s victory over Majin Buu, Gohan chose to utilize Earth’s Dragon Balls to revert all warriors who battled Majin Buu to their childhood forms. He couldn’t use the wish to eliminate everyone; otherwise, he would have opted for that. Nevertheless, Gohan believed that he could subdue the formidable power of these Saiyans by transforming them into children, thus safeguarding his rule in the Demon Realm from potential threats. However, he was terribly mistaken. Before this turn of events, Goku and the others were completely unaware of the Demon Realm’s existence. But after being transformed into kids, they had no other option but to journey to the Demon world and counteract the effect of Gohan’s wish.
That’s the first time you’ve gotten my name correct – Glorio to Goku.
In a hurry to adapt, Goku and Vegeta struggled with the new circumstances, but eventually figured out how to battle while shrunken. Additionally, they swiftly acclimated to the dense atmosphere of the Demon Realm, facing off against formidable adversaries such as the Tamagami. Remarkably, even though they were stuck in childlike forms, the Saiyans managed to access all their transformations. However, it’s worth noting that they were significantly less powerful than their adult counterparts. It was essential for them to regain their adulthood to vanquish Gomah’s Third-eye form, and that’s where Glorio came in handy and proved beneficial.
Glorio Betrays Arinsu In The Final Moment
Right from the start, Glorio remained faithful to Arinsu, and he utilized Goku and others for the purpose of collecting all Dragon Balls under the instructions of the Glind. Although there were some obstacles, Arinsu eventually managed to collect the three Dragon Balls belonging to the Demon Realm. As Glorio was proficient in speaking Namekian, Arinsu requested him to summon Porunga from the Demon Realm and make a wish for the Glind to assume rule over the demon world. However, due to his prolonged interactions with Goku, Glorio was wiser than to be influenced by Arinsu’s manipulations.
True to form, the demonic youth underwent a transformation in the critical instant, aligning himself with Goku instead. Initially convinced that even with all his power-ups like Super Saiyan 4, Goku was insufficient to vanquish Gomah, Glorio decided it was wiser to bring everyone from the outer world back to their mature forms, rather than install another haughty and merciless ruler in the Demon Realm.
Adult Goku And Vegeta Unlock Their New Transformations In Dragon Ball Daima
Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 And Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 3 Forms Can Actually Save The Day
Goku and Vegeta found it relatively easy to conquer Tamagami, but Gomah was far beyond their level due to his evil third eye. The duo couldn’t even scratch the Demon King when other warriors joined in. However, after being transformed into Super Saiyan 4 by Neva, Goku managed a few hits against Gomah, but it wasn’t enough to defeat him. Similarly, Vegeta’s SSJ3 transformation merely scratched Gomah, not defeating him. Realizing the dire situation, Glorio knew that only the adult Saiyans could stop Gomah from winning. So, he took the necessary steps to revert everyone back to their adult selves. Now, as adults, Goku and Vegeta are considerably stronger than their younger forms, finally giving them a chance at defeating Gomah.
Don’t underestimate us now that we are back to normal – Vegeta to Gomah.
Goku underwent a Super Saiyan 4 transformation due to an energy boost from Neva, though he hadn’t truly earned that form at the moment. Nevertheless, he felt the might of SSJ4, making it simpler for him to access its power independently. Consequently, after demonstrating his first three Super Saiyan forms, Mature Goku amplified his power to metamorphose into Super Saiyan 4. It’s worth noting that Kid Goku’s SSJ4 form didn’t work against Gomah, but the situation may differ now since he’s much stronger as an adult. Additionally, it’s possible that the Mature Goku can maintain the new transformation for a more extended period as he transformed into SSJ4 without Neva’s assistance.
Vegeta found himself in the same situation as Goku when they were transformed into children. Even though he was powerful in his Super Saiyan 3 form, it wasn’t quite up to par compared to what he could achieve with his adult body. This is evident when Adult Vegeta managed to overpower Gohan for a while during his Super Saiyan 3 transformation – something that wouldn’t have been possible if he had remained in his child form.
It’s possible that Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 form and Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 3 form (if he reenters the battlefield) will be strong enough to defeat Gomah. If not, there are theories suggesting a fusion between these two Saiyans could occur, potentially leading to the introduction of Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta in the last episode of Dragon Ball Daima.
