Gourmet III is a powerful piece of gear that significantly boosts the healing power of your food items, increasing their effect level by 3. This is especially helpful for players trying to survive difficult bosses that can quickly defeat them, allowing you to recover more health with each bite.

You can find the Gourmet III Abyss Gear in the Sage’s Peak region, just west of the letter “A” in “Pailune.” This area can be hard to spot, so we’ve marked the exact location on the map below. We’ve also included instructions on how to complete the Animal Meat challenge, which is needed to unlock the gear.

How to Get the Gourmet III Abyss Gear in Crimson Desert (How to Complete the Animal Meat Challenge)

  • To get the Gourmet III Abyss Gear, you need to pick up the Sealed Abyss Artifact in the north area of Pailune in the Sage’s Peak (shown above).
  • Once you pick up the Sealed Abyss Artifact, you will trigger a new challenge to complete called “Animal Meat”.
  • The Animal Meat Challenge requires you to acquire all meat knowledge (8/8).

  • You can purchase 7/8 Meat from Renee, the Butcher in Hernand Town.
  • The last you’ll be missing is Fish, which can be obtained by accepting Renee’s Request, or simply by catching them in rivers.

Okay, so for this challenge, you’re gonna need to stock up on a bunch of different meats. Specifically, I need Tough Meat, Lean Meat, Fine Meat, Tender Meat, and Marbled Meat. Don’t forget the bird stuff – Lean Bird Meat and just regular Bird Meat – and finally, a Fish Fillet. Gotta have all that good stuff ready to go!

  • After you’ve managed to gain knowledge of all 8 meats listed above, enter your inventory to find the Sealed Abyss Artifact now glowing blue, and simply by selecting it, you can open it to get the Gourmet III Abyss Gear.
  • You can now slot the Abyss Gear on your armor.
