Today sees the launch of a fresh, complimentary content upgrade for Gran Turismo 7, introducing four additional cars, three brand-new World Circuit events, and some unique bonus features. With over 540 driving options available in Gran Turismo 7 previously, this new release will further amplify the vehicle lineup’s grandeur, featuring two secretive Corvette concepts unveiled for the first time.
At the launch of Gran Turismo 7 in March 2022, an impressive array of automobiles were already present, totaling over 420 choices for players. Since its beginnings in the late 90s, this series has earned a strong reputation for accurate driving dynamics, extensive vehicle selections, user-friendly customization and tuning features, and meticulous presentation of each vehicle’s unique characteristics.
Gran Turismo 7 Adds Four New Cars
As a devoted racing enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the latest update for Gran Turismo 7, version 1.62, is dropping today, August 27, at 7 PM ET / 10 PM PT! This exciting update brings three brand new rides exclusively available in the Brand Central area. Get ready to cruise in style with the luxurious ’26 Afeela 1 and two electrifying conceptual electric hypercars: the ’25 Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept and the Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept. These stunning Corvettes were unveiled earlier this month during Monterey Car Week in California, with Chevrolet also revealing the Afeela 1 as the first production model in the series following its reveal at last year’s showcase event. Buckle up and get ready for some high-speed action!
As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming update will introduce an intriguing classic – the ’02 Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V. This unique vehicle combines the agility of a sporty French coupe with the practicality of a minivan, offering a fascinating blend in the game. Interestingly, the version available will be modeled after its Japanese release, boasting a more potent 3L, DOHC 24-valve V6 engine compared to its European counterpart’s 2L turbo. Initially launched in 2001, the Avantime fulfills the criteria for inclusion in Brand Central and can also be bought from the Used cars shop, making it a potentially cost-effective choice for those playing Gran Turismo 7.
In this updated version of Gran Turismo 7, players now have the opportunity to test drive their newly acquired cars in three new events that have been incorporated into World Circuit:
1. European Sunday Cup 400: This event takes place on the reverse layout of Circuit de Sainte-Croix.
2. Japanese 4WD Challenge 600: This event is held at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, focusing on four-wheel drive vehicles.
3. World Touring Car 900: This event can be found at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Additionally, the update introduces a stunning panorama of Tokyo Bay as a highlighted Curation in Scapes. For players who have reached Collector Level 33 and above, Japanese Racing Pioneers will now be accessible from the Extras Menu.
