Gran Turismo 7 Releases Update 1.63

Gran Turismo 7 has received a new update as of September 2025, adding five new cars, five new races, and a fresh selection of photos in Scapes. Since launching in early 2022, the popular racing game has been regularly updated by the developers at Polyphony Digital, who are committed to keeping the experience exciting for players.

When *Gran Turismo 7* first launched, players criticized its use of in-game purchases and repetitive gameplay, leading to negative reviews. However, the game has become much more popular over time, now averaging a score of 87 on OpenCritic. The developers quickly responded to feedback by releasing regular updates and making changes to improve the experience – and they’ve continued to do so for over three years. The latest update, released in August 2025, added four new cars – including the ’25 Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept and the ’26 Afeela 1 – and three new races for players to enjoy.

Polyphony Digital has released Update 1.63 for *Gran Turismo 7* on PS4, PS5, and the PS5 Pro. The update adds five new cars – the Hyundai Elantra N ’23, Mazda Spirit Racing Roadster 12R ’25, Opel Corsa CSE Vision Gran Turismo, Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40V ’74, and Toyota RAV4 Adventure ’20. Players can test these cars in five new races across World Circuits in Japan, Germany, France, and the US. The update also introduces Bolivia as a new location in Scapes mode, letting players take stunning photos of their cars against the backdrop of Bolivia’s landscapes.

Despite being a huge hit for Sony since it launched, a PC version of *Gran Turismo 7* was apparently canceled for reasons that haven’t been shared. Considering how well other Sony games like *Ghost of Tsushima* and *Horizon Zero Dawn* have performed on PC, many fans are disappointed that the popular racing game won’t be available on the platform.

Racing game fans are still enjoying *Gran Turismo 7*, but many are also eagerly anticipating the next *Forza Horizon*. Rumors started in August about a possible reveal at this month’s Tokyo Game Show. It’s been four years since the last *Forza Horizon* game came out, so fans are hoping to see what the developers have been working on later this week.
