Gran Turismo 7 Update Adds 4 Wild New Cars—You Won’t Believe the Last One!

Summary

  • The 1.59 update for Gran Turismo 7 rolled out on May 14.
  • The new patch introduces 4 cars, 3 World Circuit Events, and the Sophy AI agent expansion.
  • The Scapes photo mode was also expanded with the “Shooting the perfect square” Curation.

In May 2025, there was a fresh update for Gran Turismo 7, labeled as version 1.59. This latest installment enhances the collection of vehicles in Gran Turismo 7, introduces multiple new racing events, and includes various additional features.

Since its launch in March 2022, Polyphony Digital’s latest racing simulator has consistently received content updates and performance improvements. In late 2024, they introduced PS5 Pro compatibility for Gran Turismo 7. Following this, the Japanese studio released four additional updates from January to April 2025.

Regarding recent updates, Polyphony Digital has unveiled the 1.59 release on May 14th. Similar to past content additions, this update for “Gran Turismo 7” presents new vehicles. Among them is the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast, a V12 supercar characterized by its long nose and short deck design. Additionally, the update includes the 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, a high-performance hardtop version of the C5 Corvette that runs on a 405 BHP small-block engine.

Gran Turismo 7 1.59 Update Brings 4 New Cars, 3 World Circuit Events, and More

Among the latest offerings is the 2021 Honda CR-V e:HEV EX Black Edition, which joins the lineup as a SUV. Unlike a seasoned racing car, this hybrid model leans more towards being a Gran Turismo 7 beginner’s choice rather than a long-term racer. Its weight and relatively low top speed are better suited for casual events and playful races, rather than high-stakes competitions. The recent 1.59 update brings something less racing-focused still—the 2012 Suzuki Carry KC, an endearing kei-class microtruck.

The May 2025 update for “Gran Turismo 7” enhances its single-player content by introducing three new World Circuit events: Lightweight K-Cup at Eiger Nordwand, American Clubman Cup 700 at Autódromo de Interlagos, and Ferrari Circuit Challenge at Deep Forest Raceway. Notably, numerous vehicles introduced in the game’s latest version are eligible for these World Circuit events. Additionally, the update broadens the compatibility of the Sophy AI agent, now accessible on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix Layout in Quick Race and Custom Race modes.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the Scapes mode in my gaming world has been enhanced with the addition of the “Capture the Ideal Square” feature. Just like its name suggests, this photo mode element lets me snap shots with a 1:1 ratio – a square format tailored perfectly for social media sharing. It seems that Polyphony Digital might not roll out the next content update for Gran Turismo 7 before the latter half of 2025, but don’t count on it skipping some minor tweaks and user-friendly adjustments in the interim.
