Gray Zone Warfare: Street Spotter Walkthrough

I feel sorry for Gunny. Despite the problems in Lamang, this veteran Marine, who handles supplies for our company, keeps getting his work disrupted by reckless mercenaries. Fortunately, instead of risking himself, he can hire people to investigate what happened to the missing team members on the island.

In the early stages of Gray Zone Warfare, the ‘Street Spotter’ quest asks you to find Tyron Williams. He’s another operator and a former Marine that Gunny used to know from their time serving together.

Williams disappeared after a standard scouting mission close to our base. Gunny needs you to investigate his last known location – his observation post – and let him know what you discover.

Street Spotter Quest Location

The “Street Spotter” mission is one of the first you’ll encounter, and it’s located in the starting areas. Each of the three factions in Gray Zone Warfare has its own town close to their headquarters. Although these towns have different names and are situated in different places, the street design within each one is identical.

The location you’re interested in with Street Spotter is along the main road, starting at the gas station on the outskirts of town and extending to the city boundary. Here are the coordinates:

  • Kiu Vongsa (Crimson Shield International): 143, 163
  • Pha Lang (Lamang Recovery Initiative): 202, 151
  • Nam Thaven (Mithras Security Systems): 170, 119

The screenshots below were taken in Kiu Vongsa, but apply to all three areas.

The closest places to land are Charlie 2 (CSI), Alpha 1 (LRI), or Bravo 1 (MSS). To avoid a known criminal area, you can walk around the edge of town, keeping to the right of the villas.

Street Spotter Quest Walkthrough

Okay, so heading into town from where we land, be ready for some trouble! You’ll likely get shot at from the buildings on your left as you go by the town hall, and there’s a roadblock straight ahead where enemies are set up. Good news though – the enemies in these starter towns aren’t wearing armor, so hollow-point bullets are super effective against them!

After you pass the roadblock, keep an eye out for a yellow building with three floors on your left. Before you reach it, turn left onto the small alleyway and go into the backyard. All the doors on the ground floor are blocked, so you’ll have to enter through the window at the back.

Climb up onto the boxes, then onto the roof, to get close enough to the window to climb through.

After entering, turn right and climb the stairs. At the top, go through the door on your right.

Okay, so I headed to the last room overlooking the street. I spotted this laser thingy pointing outside, but no sign of Tyron Williams anywhere. I went up to the laser and reported back to Gunny – that finished the Street Spotter quest for me.
