GreedFall: The Dying World Exits Early Access on March 12th, Also Coming to Xbox Series X/S and PS5

Spiders’ role-playing game, GreedFall: The Dying World, will be fully released on PC on March 12th. It’s also coming to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on the same day. A new trailer gives a look at the game’s story and features, and you can watch it below.

The game launched into Steam Early Access in September 2024 and initially received mixed feedback – currently, 53% of its 503 user reviews are positive. While our original review can be found here, the game has changed a lot since then, with the addition of new areas like Olima, the City of Stars, and The Hub, as well as companions and their unique quests.

The game’s main storyline now features fresh content, and the combat system – which previously paused during real-time battles – has been significantly improved, notably with the addition of enemy targeting. Alongside these changes, the character creation tools have been updated, the user interface is more polished, and animations are smoother. The developers even included new combat and difficulty settings, letting players choose to become invincible if they prefer to prioritize the narrative.

The game formerly known as GreedFall 2 is now simply called GreedFall: The Dying World. The developers at Spiders haven’t detailed the contents of Update 1.0 yet, but they’ve confirmed it will feature a larger world and more content than the first game.
