Just like many other Role-Playing Games, Greedfall offers numerous optional missions known as “side quests.” One such side quest is called “Theological Conflicts.”

In this mission, you’ll momentarily set down your weapons and instead rely on your detective abilities and dialogue skills. Here’s a guide on how to finish the ‘Theological Conflicts’ side quest within Greedfall.
Greedfall Theological Conflicts Quest
The side quest titled “Theological Conflicts” commences following your successful completion of both “Trouble in Eden” (main quest) and “Face to Face with the Demon” (side quest). During this mission, you’ll initially converse with scientists once they have completed their research, inquiring about their findings.
Following this, your next step involves speaking with Brother Fidelis and Naut. This conversation will lead you to obtain an antidote. Once you have the antidote, hand it over to Brother Fidelis, who will guide you towards the theologians’ camp. To reach there, follow the newly opened path from Vedvilvie. After conversing with the scientists at this location, they’ll entrust you with the mission of finding some missing individuals.
During the Theological Conflicts quest in Greedfall, it’s crucial to have the Science 2 skill available, either through your character or a team member. By examining the bodies with this skill, you’ll discover that these were not ordinary deaths. Return to the camp of the theologians and converse with Brother Virgil. He will admit his wrongdoings, leaving you with three choices on how to proceed next.
- Reveal Virgil’s deeds: Results in a fight with Virgil, gaining +1 reputation with Theleme and new missions from Eugenie after talking to her.
- Convince Virgil to leave the expedition: Results in getting 50 gold and +1 reputation with Theleme after talking to Eugenie.
- Accept Virgil’s bribe of 100 gold: Results in you gaining 100 gold and +3 reputation with Theleme after talking to Virgil again. If Siora is in your party when making this choice, you will also lose one reputation with her.
