This armor offers good protection and has a stylish design. As a Fighter set, it’s ideal for players who want to take the lead in battle and draw enemy attention, letting teammates focus on attacking. You can craft it by finding and researching Potato Beetle Parts.

Rusty Set

The Rusty Mage Armor reduces stamina use when attacking with magic staffs. While it offers significant resistance to damage, it has a lower overall defense. You can learn how to craft it by studying Rust Beetle parts or Sour Glob. It’s particularly effective when paired with newer staffs like the Acid Ruin or Wither Sting.

This set’s special bonuses are called Tangy Eruption and Sourmancy. Tangy Eruption triggers when you perfectly block an attack, sometimes releasing a burst of Tang Goo. Sourmancy then boosts your Sour damage for a short time. Together, these bonuses are very powerful, especially when used with a Mage Staff build.

Serpent Set

One of the most exciting additions in Grounded’s The Toxic Tangle Update is the Serpent Set, which you get from the Garter Snake – one of the game’s largest creatures. If you’re adventurous enough to find the snake and ride on its back as it moves through the upper Garden Biome, you can collect Scales using a level 4 Pickaxe on your Omnitool.

This perk works especially well with the new Bardic Inspiration Mutation, which enhances allies whenever you attack, dodge, or perfectly block.

Black Ant Set

The Black Ant set is powerful gear you can find fairly early on in the new Garden Biome. You’ll encounter Black Ants at the War-Thorn Anthill, located in the upper right corner of the map – the area you need to cross to reach the Garden Biome. Be careful, though! Red and Black Ants are constantly fighting there, making it a risky place where you can quickly be overwhelmed if you’re not prepared.

What makes the Rogue Armor set special is its unique ability, Parry Criticals. Whenever you successfully block an attack with perfect timing (a parry), it gives you a temporary boost to your chance of landing a critical hit with your next attack.
