As a One Piece enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement as the Elbaf arc ignites and the Holy Knights prepare to step into high gear! With each new chapter, this tale only gets more captivating, and with the Straw Hat Pirates now squaring off against these formidable foes, it’s just a matter of time before the arc erupts once more. To be honest, Oda has already managed to pique our curiosity beyond belief. He’s unleashed some of the most enthralling villains in the series, their powers posing challenges that seem nearly insurmountable! The Holy Knights, indeed.

In the Elbaf arc of “One Piece,” the Holy Knights were initially introduced alongside Shamrock and Gunko. However, Shamrock departed from Elbaf to handle a crucial assignment, while Saint Rimoshifu Killingham and Saint Shepherd Sommers subsequently appeared on the scene. Currently, these three Holy Knights are active within Elbaf, and their hidden pasts are gradually being unveiled. Interestingly enough, there seems to be a link between one of the Holy Knights and our story’s main character, Monkey D. Luffy, which is none other than Gunko.

Gunko’s Many Strange Contradictions So Far

  • Gunko’s Actions Betray Her Words At Times
  • Gunko Is A Bag Of Mysteries

In the current story arc, alongside Shamrock Figarland, Gunko is the initial Holy Knight to visit Elbaf, and fans had long suspected she would play a significant role. Yet, what they didn’t foresee was the intense debate surrounding her true identity. Regarding her abilities as a Holy Knight, it’s well-known that she possesses great power, capable of overpowering Loki without his chains according to Shamrock’s estimation. However, it isn’t her strength that sparks questions; rather, it’s the mystery surrounding her true identity.

Above all, it’s her unique design and actions that set her apart. What really catches the eye when discussing her design is her eyes – they possess a striking contrast. As fans are aware, Gunko boasts two eyes of differing colors. One appears black, while the other is remarkably similar to the eyes of both Zunesha and Imu. This dual-colored eye scheme may hint at Gunko having two distinct aspects within her. Covering half of her face with bandages seems to conceal something significant, and her peculiar clothing style adds to the enigma.

Moreover, there’s an interesting detail worth mentioning. The name Gunko translates to “Army Child,” suggesting a potential connection to the Revolutionary Army. This theory gains credence when we consider that characters from this group often wear hats with goggles, and as you may have noticed, Gunko also dons this distinctive attire.

It’s possible that Gunko may have connections with the Revolutionary Army, and her name, “Army Child,” is significant. This becomes even clearer when you consider that Oda never presented Gunko as a Saint. This could imply that she originates from the surface rather than being born as a Celestial Dragon. In fact, this is similar to how the Holy Knights offered Loki, suggesting that she might not be a genuine Celestial Dragon like the others.

The connections of the Revolutionary Army don’t end here. In Japanese, they are called the Kakumei Gun. If Gunko were part of this revolutionary faction, her name would translate to “Revolutionary Child,” or “Kakumei Gunko.

Gunko’s Devil Fruit And Imu

It’s widely recognized among fans that Gunko has ties with both the Revolutionary Army and Imu, a connection that suggests she might be under Imu’s influence. Notably, Gunko shares the same unique ability as Imu, the one who allegedly killed Cobra. Furthermore, only Gunko has been depicted using the Abyss of the Holy Knights, which adds to the theory that she could be Imu in disguise or perhaps being controlled by him.

Why Gunko Might Be Dragon’s Daughter And Luffy’s Sister

Gunko and Luffy Share Some Similarities

It’s becoming increasingly evident that Gunko may share a significant connection with Luffy, as they appear to have similar interests such as music and food. For example, both Gunko and Luffy seem to have an affinity for music, with Gunko expressing great enthusiasm for Brook’s tunes, and her reaction to food is reminiscent of a child’s delight.

Considering all the facts, who do you suppose Gunko could be? We know that she was possibly a former member of the Revolutionary Army, taken captive by the Government, similar to Ginny. It seems she has been transformed into some kind of vessel for Imu, working for the Holy Knights. If Gunko is indeed the “Child of the Revolution” or “Kakumei Gunko,” her love for food and music, as well as her physical pain when hurting someone she admires like Brook, suggests that her actions are not her own but those of Imu. There’s also a hint that Gunko may have a connection with Dragon, raising the possibility that she could be Luffy’s long-lost sister.

Why Gunko Might Betray The Holy Knights

Nika Could Liberate Gunko

If Gunko and Luffy share a familial bond, it’s possible there’s another significant similarity between them: they were both nurtured by a Figarland. Similar to how Luffy was motivated to become a pirate by Shanks, Gunko might have been mentored by Shamrock. This could account for why Gunko accompanied Shamrock Figarland to Elbaf and why she esteems him so highly.

In the “One Piece” series, there’s a character named Gunko who seems fearful of another character, Nika. However, during the Elbaf arc, it could be unveiled that Nika is the one who frees Gunko from her suffering. So far, Oda has avoided any encounters between Luffy and Gunko, but such a confrontation is expected in the future. This encounter might shed light on Gunko’s relationship with Monkey D. Dragon and Luffy. For now, this theory is speculative, derived from observations, but it certainly sparks intrigue.

If it’s revealed that Gunko is Luffy’s sister, there’s a strong chance she might turn against the World Government. Given her actions so far, it seems likely that she could rebel if she ever manages to break free from Imu’s influence. This freedom could come from the Warrior of Liberation, Nika, who is believed to have the power to alleviate Gunko’s suffering. If this happens, Gunko could potentially side with the Revolutionary Army, offering them valuable insights about the World Government, including the Holy Knights, the Five Elders, and Imu himself, who holds the highest position of power.
