The remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, now called Halo: Campaign Evolved, is officially here. Reactions are split – many appreciate the updated graphics and gameplay thanks to Unreal Engine 5, while others are wary given the developer’s, formerly known as 343 Industries, past struggles with recent Halo games like Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo: Infinite. For the Halo series to regain the community’s confidence in the developers and Xbox, this remake needs to be a success.
