A fresh assertion suggests that Halo Studios might be preparing to unveil a new Halo title in the current year.

According to insider Rebs Gaming, who is closely connected with the gaming industry, there’s an upcoming Halo game announcement on the horizon. He mentioned that the studio has been consistently testing future games for the franchise every week, which suggests they are quite advanced in development. As a result, he anticipates at least one new Halo game will be announced this year.

Information on the upcoming, unannounced Halo game emerged from a YouTube video posted by Rebs Gaming this week. In the video, he talked about the newly announced Halo Studios Playtest Lab. This initiative was first mentioned in a LinkedIn post discussing a “unified testing area” that allows employees from various departments to collaborate and playtest games together, exchange ideas, and strengthen their relationships.

In the same post where Rebs Gaming hinted about an unrevealed Halo game, Susan Bunch, who manages Support, Safety, and Playtesting, revealed that teams had organized a playtest session for artists and designers to try out maps similar to those currently being developed. This suggests that if maps for the upcoming Halo title are already under production, we might get an announcement about it soon.
