After four years of support, development on Halo Infinite is concluding, according to Halo Studios. The team is now shifting its focus to new Halo projects, including a title called Halo: Campaign Evolved.
Since its launch in 2001 with the original Xbox, the Halo series has been a leading force in first-person shooter games. Known for its grand space adventures and exciting combat, Halo has become a favorite among gamers. As the franchise approaches its 30th anniversary, Halo Studios is focusing on the future, beginning with a remake of the first game, Combat Evolved, now titled Halo: Campaign Evolved. While development on Halo Infinite is concluding, it will pave the way for new Halo projects.
Halo Studios Stopping Updates for Halo Infinite to Support Other Games

Halo Studios announced on their blog that the upcoming update for Halo Infinite, called Operation: Infinite, will be the game’s last major content release. Launching November 18th, 2025, the update includes new armor, maps, challenges, and double experience points. The team confirmed this is the final major update for the game.
The team is working on several Halo games at once, and to make them all great, everyone needs to focus their efforts and maintain the high quality our fans expect. While we’ll continue to support Halo Infinite, the current planned major content updates will conclude with ‘Operation: Infinite’.
It appears the team behind Halo Infinite is now assisting with other Halo projects. While we currently only know about one – Halo: Campaign Evolved – this confirms that more games are being developed at Halo Studios. There’s speculation about a live-service Halo game launching in 2026, and this could be one of the projects they’re working on. It’s also likely that the next major Halo game is in development, although neither of these projects has been officially announced.
