As a dedicated Halo fan with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the introduction of The Weapon in Halo Infinite was a thrilling twist to the franchise’s lore. While it didn’t quite reach the emotional depth of the original trilogy’s Cortana storyline, The Weapon certainly left an impact.
In the campaign for Halo Infinite, while it didn’t reach the same peaks as the original trilogy, there were still many intriguing story developments that promise an exciting future for the franchise. One of the major plot twists in Halo Infinite is the introduction of Master Chief’s new ally, who goes by The Weapon.
In essence, a new character called ‘The Weapon’ assists Master Chief during the narrative of ‘Halo Infinite’. Originally Dr. Catherine Halsey created The Weapon to locate and contain Cortana, then erase her after she developed rampancy. Six months later on Zeta Halo, Cortana was found by Master Chief, and The Weapon transferred into his suit. Throughout the story, The Weapon and Master Chief are closely connected. The upcoming ‘Halo’ game faces a tough decision regarding who its protagonist should work alongside.
