Recent speculations hint at the upcoming arrival of Hellblade 2 and Gears of War on the PlayStation 5 by the end of this year.
Based on a recent report by WindowsCentral’s Jez Corden, it appears that the speculations from yesterday about Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 being released on additional platforms are supported.
According to the latest report, Corden indicates that Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology, and possibly Gears of War 1 Ultimate Edition could all be released for PlayStation 5 by the end of this year as well.
Additionally, Corden notes that the majority of Xbox’s forthcoming game lineup will predominantly be time-limited exclusives for both Xbox and PC platforms. This move, which many in our field anticipated, was likely where Microsoft was heading eventually.
It’s yet unclear when these games will expand to other systems, but it would certainly be exciting if Nintendo Switch 2 titles were announced during their next Nintendo Direct event. Some of the games bound for PlayStation might be disclosed at a third-party conference, potentially coinciding with Summer Games Fest in June, if they’re scheduled for release later in the year.
Initially, NateTheHate implied a possibility that the exclusive PlayStation 5 games, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, might be available on Xbox platforms in the near future.
