Hytale has been in the works for about ten years, and getting ready for its Early Access launch on January 13th, 2026, hasn’t been easy – there were even a couple of times the project was almost cancelled. If you’re wondering when the game – which combines sandbox freedom with RPG elements – will be available in your time zone, you can check the Hytale store after or before you pre-order.
What Time Does Hytale Come Out?
Hytale is launching at 10:00 AM Eastern Time on January 13th, 2026. It will be available only on the official Hytale website for PC players, and you’ll need to use a special launcher to play. The developers haven’t decided yet if the game will eventually be released on Steam, so it’s not confirmed.
When you click the pre-purchase option to view available game versions, a countdown timer will appear in the top right corner of the screen, showing you exactly how much time remains until the game launches.
Hytale Release In Different Time Zones Globally
As a gamer and movie critic—yes, I cover games too—I’ve been tracking the Hytale release, and here’s the breakdown of when players around the globe can jump in, according to different time zones. It’s a bit tricky figuring out exactly when it drops for everyone, so I’ve compiled a handy guide based on location.
Players in Oceania can start playing the game on January 14th, so they’ll be able to jump right in when they wake up that day.

What To Expect From Hytale In Early Access
Look, the developers have been upfront about this game – they’ve said all along, even when you buy it, that it’s launching with bugs. It’s basically a game still being built, which is a little scary, I get it! But if you’re the kind of player who loves getting lost in endlessly generated worlds, enjoys a really involved combat system, and likes building things with RPG progression, then I think you could still have a blast. You can play it solo, exploring at your own pace, or team up with friends online – that’s where I think the real fun will be.
Just so you know, the game doesn’t support controllers right away. If you prefer using a controller instead of the standard keyboard and mouse controls (using WASD), you might want to hold off until controller support is added.
