A fresh set of challenges is now available in ARC Raiders as the new week kicks off. Players can earn new in-game rewards by completing the latest Trials, which involve battling various enemies like Wasps, Pops, Bastions, and the particularly dangerous Matriarch – currently the game’s most formidable foe.
In ARC Raiders, Trials are a great way to get valuable items. While the primary method for finding Blueprints, Weapons, and gear is exploring Topside, Trials offer weekly challenges with unique rewards. Every Monday, five new challenges become available, and players can earn up to three stars per challenge. One star gets you an Uncommon item, two stars a Rare item, and three stars an Epic item. Plus, players can earn even more rewards by improving their seasonal ranking – the higher they climb, the better the rewards they’ll receive at the end of the season.
Last week’s challenges in ARC Raiders (Week 6 of Trials) asked players to damage enemy units like Hornets and Rocketeers, collect items, destroy Pops, and activate ARC Probes. However, many players are already frustrated with how similar the weekly challenges are. Tasks like destroying Pops appear almost every week, leading some to describe the system as uninspired or even ‘absolute trash’.

- Damage Queens or Matriarchs
A new set of Trials Challenges is available now in ARC Raiders to help players gear up for the first Expedition this month. These challenges are for players level 15 and above, and can be found in the Trials section of the main menu. They involve defeating or damaging various enemies – Ticks, Fireballs, Pops, Wasps, Bastions, Queens, and Matriarchs – and opening Supply Drops. While common enemies appear on most maps, Queens and Matriarchs only appear during special events, making this a particularly tough challenge. Importantly, you don’t need to fully defeat the Queen or Matriarch – just deal as much damage as possible in one round.
There are still some challenges left, and most of them involve hurting or defeating typical ARC enemies. You’ll find Pops, Ticks, and Fireballs inside almost any building. Wasps are common outdoors and have two thrusters. While destroying the thrusters will quickly defeat a Wasp, the challenge asks you to deal as much damage as possible first. So, aim for the center of the Wasp to maximize your points before taking it down.
Okay, so next week there’s going to be even more ways to snag rewards in the game, which is awesome! But heads up – if you’re planning your first Expedition this month, everything in your inventory will get wiped when it’s over. Because of a recent announcement from the developers, everyone’s rushing to fill their Stash with the best gear they can find before their Expedition starts, trying to maximize their loot!
The studio recently shared more information about the upcoming, but now delayed, ‘ARC Raiders’ Expedition. Players who participate in the reset will get several cosmetic rewards and twelve additional storage slots. However, Embark faced some criticism for announcing that players can earn five extra skill points for every 1 million storage value they have. The Expedition will run from December 17th to December 22nd, and all players will be reset simultaneously.
