Heroes of the Storm is commemorating its 10th anniversary in grand style! For a limited time, players will receive two free portrait designs, a fresh Thrall skin is now available for purchase, and every hero within the game is playable at no cost during this event. Log in between now and June 15 to claim these exclusive portraits for your collection and test out any hero you desire!
10 years have now passed since the debut of “Heroes of the Storm”. Although Blizzard’s renowned crossover MOBA has been in maintenance for a while, it still gets occasional tweaks to its balance and bug fixes, ensuring that it stays active even without new content being added.
Currently, the game “Heroes of the Storm” is hosting an exhilarating celebration in honor of a significant achievement. During this event, which lasts from now until the next update on June 15th, players can enjoy using every character available in the game, regardless of whether they’ve previously unlocked them, across all game modes. Furthermore, by logging into the game during this timeframe, players can acquire two anniversary portraits free of charge.
In addition to that, the game Heroes of the Storm introduced an entirely novel skin called Gear Head Thrall. This unique cosmetic transforms the well-known Warchief of the Horde in World of Warcraft into a mechanic, showcasing a distinctive cell-shaded design unlike any other skin. You can acquire this skin from the shop for 1500 Gems, which equates to $15. However, you can also accumulate the currency through gameplay.
Alongside celebrating its anniversary, this update introduced some delightful modifications too. For instance, there was a charming revamp of the main interface and startup tunes that might stir nostalgia in players. Furthermore, minor tweaks to game balance and bug corrections were made, like eliminating the minimum casting range for numerous hero skills, such as Brightwing’s Arcane Flare, Hanzo’s Sonic Arrow, and Tychus’s Frag Grenade.
Despite the thrill surrounding this event, the recent announcement about “Heroes of the Storm” might suggest that the MOBA may not be making a comeback officially. Many fans had anticipated Microsoft would rejuvenate the game following their acquisition of Blizzard, especially considering the latest Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits bestowed upon “Heroes of the Storm.” However, given that this announcement didn’t occur during its 10th anniversary, it could imply that a revival might not happen. On a positive note, Blizzard mentioned their Classic Games team was exploring old archives for additional unreleased skins like Gear Head Thrall, suggesting there may be more of these skins in the future for players to enjoy.
